Vaguely related to thread title:

Anyone know what's the deal with parking on Friday at the Stadium and the $10 all day parking (is there a time limit for these cars to leave the car park before the game)?

dont think you can get $10 parking on match days.

Just read this and think its a great idea.  A good stadium experience is something that helps drag people along to games (of any code).

I'd personally like to see more of the Umaga type bay appear too.  For true Legends.  Doing 11 for Lomu or 22 for Durante would be welcome I think

I'm shocked the council are finally forking out money to put into the stadium. Good stuff.

Great idea and about time. Welnix and the travelling circus fans will love it a ready made excuse to shift more games due to construction problems.

Its one of the lower priorities of things they want to do iirc. Upgrading the Fran Wilde Walk and providing improved wifi are probably the next two things on the to do list.

Great photo to show the current concourse.  Are they implying the glass and flash colours will change the queuing.

Only the planned upgrade of the type of out let will help that. :-)

I assume that is for journalists and the like, not fans.

I understand they're looking into wifi for fans, and different ways fans can use it (stadium app for example).

Just seems, with current progression of cell phone data rates, that providing large scale wifi is a rather silly cost.

Have you guys read the comments? Spotless are getting a well deserved serving, the Westpac Trust copping a bit too. The yellow seats are getting some too. The prices are also copping some flack. All those things I have ranted on over the years - apparently I really am not the only one with those concerns. I now feel justified in my rants, I am not alone.

Steve, sadly, you are probably right. I reckon 6 games next season out of the Wellington region.

but the food has been addressed. There are a lot of great options. And changing seats is a waste of money, way better things to spend money on.

It amazes me how many people complain about the weather attending a football match in country with the worst housing insulation and heating known to mankind. Do people expect heated seats?

I hope they are making improvements to the fashion sense of the patrons in this picture!

I imagine it'll just be the side facing the harbour that will have glass, it won't be the entire way around. Some sections are already done, such as the mezz bar, and I think another area a bit further along.

Wifi for journalists and photog's already exists and is accessible from the field of play.  Any improvement to this will be from a fan perspective

Great news, and I like the concept drawing.

I'm also sceptical about the low figures given, but it does show how it wouldn't take all that much to completely transform the concourse. The original design of it has a great advantage in that it's fairly uniform and generic to be able to facelift it like this.

The glass around the outside improves the stadium so much, cannot wait until it's further/all the way round.

And completely agree with more tunnels like the tana one. Reckon the likes of dura and siggy would be very well placed for that. Rugby will always be confined to the first 15 numbers and has the larger following, so it's bloody handy that they wear/wore 22 and 18!

It has at Phoenix games, but when I went to the 20/20 cricket game against Pakistan it was spotless catering and nothing else, don't know what its like at Hurricanes games
