This. People, remember that the Sunday News is mostly trash.

If this shyte is getting air time, it must be a bloody slow day in the sports news department. 'ifs' 'coulds' and 'mights' is all it says. It just takes the fact that he his off contract in 12 months time and stretched and drawn it into a 'what could happen' scenario.
If any of that actually becomes real, I'll eat my hat and turn into a chinaman cause its got about as much chance of happening as me f**king Lara Bingle and I'm twice her bloody age.

I thought Phoenix extended Herbert's contract for 2 years at the beginning of the season. I remember Fred Woodcock writing an article questioning the timing.

What has Glading got against Scarborough Town?

Which would take hime to the end of the 2010/11 season wouldn't it?
So if this is the case, will he be coaching the Nix and he Socceroos for a year?

If NZF are even considering some sort of reduced role for the All Whites coach after the world cup it just confirms to me that they are still very lacking in vision. They should be pushing to get into the AFC in order to have an increased schedule.

That was the part that annoyed me most in the article. If that has any truth behind it I will be pissed. How are the All Whites supposed to get better if they don't keep playing together regularly?

This has come out of no where and is a huge shock.

If the Sunday News had any credibility as a newspaper then - yes. Fortunately it doesn't.

Sunday news sucks. Besides Ricki just got an extension with the Nix there's nothing to suggest if we perform next season he'll be cut or whatever. That sh*t about him coaching AUS is a huuuuge call and so unlikely. Poor journalism.

Its just journalistic conjecture at this point and apart from some imaginative guess work done on a forum (we all know how how they work ,sublime to ridiculous with completly mad inbetween ) theres no real factual basis to any of the stuff in the article.
I reckon its a case of an editor saying heres a blank piece of paper ,fill it!
I note the journo's name is Plumb would have thought lemon more Appropriate!
