It now seems John Dow was cheif of getting Serepisos' bid together not his own. What I thought would happen was they would combine money John Dow already had with what Terry was bringing it and both hold a share of the license.
Yeah, what is the deal here? I think we should be told...
Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.
Dow is a marketing man isn't he ? My bet is he'll be on the
board and do the marketing.
I had the impression his budget was around making the club financially viable rather than a significant personal investment.

Him and Ian Wells were just trying to get some financial backers
together in order to bring the A League to the capital. That ended
up being just Terry in the end. John indicated he doesn't have an
interest in being hands on from now on, as he has enough on his
plate with his marketing company.
Founder
John headed off to Valencia with Team New Zealand shortly after the
A-League bid was successful. He was responsible for
organising all ceremonial aspects of opening TNZ base.
He said to me there was a possibility that he could apply for
a position at the Phoenix, should the appropriate position
arise, but more or less stated that his work was done.
His marketing firm, Agenda could possibly contract back to the
Phoenix in the future. Maybe there will even be a board
position for him and Ian Wells.
One thing is for sure, the two of them deserve a big
thanks from us all!
