Is it too early to think about someone gettin the bump this early in the season?

There has been one or two disappointments for sure - but now that Branko has staved off the mauling beasts it seems (for now at least) and Ernie has at last cracked a 'Victory'.... who would be lookin over their shoulder dreading the tap?

Smithy?

Frankie F?

And if any muppet dares mention the 'R' word, can they please be barred from the forum? lol

If the Perth fans had control of it Smith would be long gone, but the board said he's there until the mid point of the season.

Perth's next home game should be interesting.

Surely has to be Smith - Perth have really failed to fire now in 3 seasons. Same could be said of the Roar ofcourse, but we're already onto our 2nd coach

who do you guys think has the best individual players, as opposed to playing the best as a team? Melbourne?
I like tautologies because I like them.

Too true Sas, was intersting to see Miron on TF last week talkin about how the Roar is going... they tried to get him to put the boot in but he wouldn't lol...

But as they said, the facts don't lie - New coach, same game plan, same results unfortunately...

And I only noticed last weekend that Royce Brownlie is now in Wellington... I can recall him being the Golden Boy a coupla years back

I was talking to a Perth fan the other day and he is livid with Smith. Can't say I'd blame him.

haha, you just reminded me of a terrible show we had on here a couple of years back called 'Finding J Smith' where these contestants had to travel the country searching out "the" J Smith. Novel idea, hated the show.

But anyway, can't be long before we see someone else in charge over in WA.

Perth was one of the top sides before the inception of the a-league weren't they? As I remember, they are used to success over there. I can sympathise with those unhappy fans, next home game will be interesting

If you want to see some true vitriol aimed at a coach go to gloryboys.net - the Perth equivalent of Yellow Fever.  They HATE Smith.

Ron Smith definitely.

In the old NSL they were the best team for a few seasons on end. With the A-League, things have changed.

Mori and Bobby D have moved on, it doesn't feel the same.

I'd say Adeliede have the best players. Their strikers Djite, Agostino and Burns are awesome!!
Alaigh and Cassio are great. Then theres Travis Dodd, Deigo and Sarkies. I really rate this bunch. I dont think Melbourne are that good on paper. Perth are the worst on paper and on the field.

Well lets see Smith and Colina, thats a quarter of the managers so far. A very high turn over me thinks.

Smith is probably lucky to have stayed as long as he did though. Then you get Ernie Merrick at Melbourne - came 7th first year and he was on the verge of getting the boot, but they decided to stick with him, and he won it in season two.

That's what our Ricki is going to do....!!  : )

I agree Perth have not been the same team as they were up to two years ago. If you don't recruit well to replace the aging players, it can all end very quickly.

Don't think Smith helped himself by not playing Harnwell for so long.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
