Doesn't do enough off the field to get us media attention world wide.

Oh, okay. In that case I'd be prepared to take one for the team and sleep with Andrew to get us attention.

But honestly I think when we were playing poorly this season Durante as our captain didn't try or do enough to turn things, probably this is something he need to learn from Muscut?? Or probably our vice captains Brown & McKains needed to step up as well hehe

...and just what is a "Terry type leader"?

Fuse lit: Will stand well back.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

a leader that gets hounded out of his captancy in the tabloids' two yearly witch hunt to destabalise the england football team in a bid to weaken them prior to a major tournament.

probably an aussie conspiracy if you ask me

Target men are a dime a dozen

A good attacking midfielder is hard to find

A good AM to replace either Brown or Lia would make a huge difference. It has been one of our main points of weakness for a while. We manage to get by because of our skillful wide players but we've never really had a skillful CM/AM except maybe Felipe who got found out pretty quick.

The best teams in the league have the best AM's - Corica and Hernandez.

+1  Unfortunately Diego failed to impress this season, and none of our skilled players (Bertos, Caceres, Daniel etc) is good in the central area of the park...

Not strong enough. When the likes of siggy and manny have their dummy spits thats a reflection on Durante. When the the team needs on field direction, its often missing and we all hang out for half time hoping Ricki gives it.
Durante should be a "I'll deal with it" man and all the team should know and respect it.

All of the above would be a good start?
But a class mid field player is what is needed.

we absolutely definitely need a class mid field player.  i agree with leggy.  we need someone with skill who can pass to feet up the middle. rather than constantly going out to the wings for a cross that goes nowhere.  when the nix play a passing to feet style up the middle they actually do pretty well, but don't do it often enough.  if we can get a class midfielder who can pass and move and create some spark and show some flair then we'd eat everyone else alive. we can be a really one dimensional team sometimes with long ball / get it to wings for a cross type of play, be good to mix it up a bit.

How about, we get a strong target man to work with Greenacre, give Bertos and Caceres the wide roles, get Ifill to play more central (I believe he has it in him), and make McKain the captain since he's a good bastard and defends like a demon.

Attacking midfielder, as close to an all-round striker as we can get and a back up left back.

I presume Ferra and Mulli will be gone, but if McKain leaves a CB will be key.
You know we belong together...

uh, an actual, proper, real, threatening striker who can score goals.

sure a creative central midfielder would be great, but we need an actual striker more.

This has a lot of merit. Don't know about "target man" though unless the target is the back of the net. Ifill does have more to offer than we currently afford him in a wide role. Central with two actual strikers and we would be as dangerous as all hell.

Pirlo type Distributor. IMO We could do better than Brown and Lia someone like Carlos Hernandez.

Well, a quality goalkeeper would be imperative.  Paston is not in the same league as Liam Reddy.  Forget the Bahrain save, it was flukey. Gotta convince Reddy to stay.........tell him the weather does get better, kidnap his family from NSW and bring them here, make him a marque player (I jest not on this one.....he's good enough).

I disagree with the keeper call (although Reddy is quality atm)- but fair enough, you did back it up. Only thing I'll say is that I don't think that Reddy as marquee is a possibility- need to be of a certain pedigree (international/former international/played at a high level). And yes that does give you permission to lol at Owusu as Adelaide's marquee...

I'll go with whoever Paulihho Ifill says we do (and can hav a quiet word wiv guv).

Is there any position on the park where we couldn't possibly get somebody better? No, thats an immpossibility. So, whoever will have the biggest net impact on our squad, game, and results will get my vote - regardless of what position.

If we're asking where we are weakest? A central creative midfielder.

If we get the chance for a quality player anywhere else on the park do we say no?... Errrrmmm...

Load of tosh.  Has nothing to do with Durante.  If anything they could be far better due to Durante's influence.  Their childishness reflects on nobody but themselves.
