Who got the second goal?

Sorry if this has been talked about in a different thread, I couldn't see any other thread discussing it.

Who really got the second goal? Even after watching the tv replay it's hard to tell if it came off George or Smeltz. I know Smeltz got credited with it but I'm not convinced. Does anyone with better eye sight than me have an opinion?

It doesn't really matter, as a goal is a goal, I'm just curious as to what others think...

Bajic punched the ball into Smeltz's head and it went in. Goal for Smeltz.

yup, what he said.. altho i would like to think most of the credit goes to George, he shielded the keeper an practically took him out of the play, smeltz's positioning was perfect to be there to take the deflection in

were u at the game? the one good thing about being stuck in auckland to watch the games is lots of replays

AT FIRST GLANCE I THOUGHT GEORGE SCORED THE GOAL.

Actually I was in Auckland too so I could see replays and still wasn't sure... I had drunk lots of beer at that stage, which may explain it.

at the match I thought it was George who scored (confirmed by the way he ran to the bench afterwards), but the Sky replay this a.m. shows it was Smeltz.

Saw a slow-mo replay tonight and it almost looked like Smelty scored it with his face.

Yep definately wasn't planned by Smeltz but he'll take it. I think Bajic should claim the goal really :P

It was funny when Felipe scored - the TV said it was Smeltz's goal and he was no where near it!!

George didn't touch the keeper. Smeltz' goal nice and clean...

Good positioning by smeltzy, even if it was a cheeky deflection. got to be in the right place to get those ones!
