That was my pal Adam with the St Andrew's cross.

He was asked to take it down because it had Kilmarnock FC on it. Nah really because it was covering some stadium sponsorship. He went and moved it to somewhere with no sponsorship and they still told him to take it down...

He's daft for Killie, he'll be made up that it got on the telly - if only for a wee bit.

It's against A-league rules to have flags that aren't an Australian state flag, or the flag of NZ or Australia. That's probably because there has been racial tension in Australia in the past, but there's no tension here. I can't see a problem in us having a Scotland flag up.

Maybe I should stop wearing my Berwick Rangers shirt for fear of inciting racial hatred?
Maybe I should stop wearing it for people to stop laughing at me?

Yeah, I'm sure the Scots haven't caused racial tension in Australia (unless there were Scots among the many convicts sent there ), but it's hardly fair to allow the flag of Scotland and not the flag of Serbia.

I can see where you are coming from......but it is normally only the above mentioned ethnic communities or extremists that cause it ...I am sure there are a couple that I have not mentioned...

The last time the scots caused any greif was around the william Wallace era

I assume arguing that the St Andrew's Cross of Scotland is part of the NZ flag is no good?!?!

I think it's everyones duty in the YF zone to bring a yellow umbrella and a Scotland flag to the next home game :)

The Scots back then had every right to cause trouble (I'm descended from the Wallace clan so my opinion is probably slightly biased).

But yeah, in NZ there's no harm done in bringing a Scottish flag to a Phoenix game, albeit it has nothing to do with what's going on at the game.loyalgunner2007-09-10 15:21:12

No it was the last time the Proclaimers released a single

Nah, sorry Chris. It wasn't me. I have got a large Lion Rampant flag in my garage tho', maybe I'll take that down for the Sydney game

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
