Why did they slack off?

Is it just me or did they slack off a bit in the last 20 minutes? they were on fire in the first half and then suddenly tried to shut up shop and play it out! that is soooo dangerous, they would have had a draw or a loss had it not been for some excellent Dodd, O'Dorr  and Moss defending, Felipe was GREAT, Ferrente was the best and the worst, Dodd was a rock and Moss saved their skins a couple of times, but they really need to keep attacking as did Sydney, the best def fence is attack!

But what i really liked the most was a rare hard, drilled shot by Big Ross Aloisi!, that man is a legend!

Danny - for one, change your sig - Babayaro is average at best...

Secondly, the Nix were run off their feet, so to say they slacked off is a bit harsh - they simply were run ragged and defended well.

Ferrante - MUCH improved performance

Ferrante was good, Felipe genius.

Why did we fade? Failure to retain possession.

I suppose I can take my pick of threads to post in. How to reduce 90 emotions to 1 post? ;)

Felipe is a god - I bow down to him.

I agree that our strength is in attack. It was disturbing how little possession we had in the 2nd half. But fark me if we didn't hold the 2-1 score.

At the end of that game I leaped from my seat in the Fever Lounge and found myself jumping around locked in an embrace with a stranger. Hahahahaha.

Bless those goddam nix.

Yeah - and he got ditched because he was average... I was a season pass holder in 99-00 when he had a lot of potential. Unfotunately, he never fulfilled it - despite playing in a back four with Desailly, Leboeuf and Petrescu.

Admittedly, the Nix kicked the ball away a lot at the end, but ultimately they were just run ragged. Syndey threatened a LOT more that Newcastle or Melbourne did.

Were you not watching? Sydney created a lot more in front of goal and put us under more pressure than any other side so far this year, hence why we were under pressure and were forced into the 'hoof' mentality... or were you not watching?
