Has the team left NZ for Queensland yet? With that massive storm apparently approaching they may not be able to fly out any later this week.

Let's hope the storm doesn't do as predicted then. . . or hope they've alternative departure options (i.e. ex AKL).

You wouldn't want to head to Auckland tomorrow.  In the words of the Met service, one of the deepest depressions seen for years is arriving.

My daugther's high school ball is on tomorrow featuring a marquee.  Should be interesting.  Perform like some other marquees we've seen.

Big and slow moving? She should be able to out-run it in her heals.

I'd be pretty depressed if I had to go to Auckland

Tell me about it

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

As at 9:00am today, doesn't look good for Auckland and mid-north island but it looks fine for the rest of the country so far.simon_hampton2008-07-26 09:22:25

I can't imagine why they wouldn't have, the weather in Welly wasn't that bad today, just overcast for most of it, not really windy where I am and didn't even rain for long spells.

Yea, if they went direct from Wellington, and I don't see why they wouldn't, then they would have got out. If they went to via Auckland, then they might have struggled.
