Doesn't this create even more of a conflict of interest...??
i.e. if Ricki Herbert was considering two players for the WC squad, one from Nix and one from say, Central Coast and both were reasonably similar players...he could go with the Nix player simply because it could bring in some extra dough for his club...
in fact, the money received from him selecting players at world cup could be more than half their annual salary!!
