Nix hinting at an announcement on Instagram with a photo of the kitchen. Incoming today?
A female signing?? And you do realise I was just kidding. I suspect the club are throwing the Kitchen sink at getting in someone good.
A bit of an overplayed and out dated joke don't you think? 🤔
There ALWAYS has to be one. You guys can't help yourselves.
But on a serious note. What does showing a picture of a Kitchen relate to Billy T? what is the significance? Or is there someone else coming??
didn't you read this thread - the picture is his, he shared it on his instagram and someone used AI to track that it was from Wellington. It's you who can't help yourself - leave your gender based BS at home.
Obviously having the World Cup around the corner is a pretty big factor too, but it is good to see we have some pull in the market given the backbone of the club is built on promoting from within, or picking up unknown quantities who then go on to boss the league (and then inevitably leaving 1-2 years later...)
Not sure, I think we had some good signings in the past, although not big names like Del Piero, Fowler or Juan Mata. Still, Hernandez, Barbarouses or Ifill would in my books challenge BT as "high profile".
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

His comprehension and jokes give away his age don't they 👴👴
Hearing that Bill Tuiloma has signed until the end of the 2027/28 season, so any thought this was a short-term deal to push for a World Cup spot, and then potentially look for a move north to his home-town is gone. Great piece of business by WPX. https://t.co/WpTN20hkhO
Huge piece of business from the club, especially if it's until the end of next season. Historically as a club I don't think we do enough business in January to prepare for the following season (begin talking to off-contract players etc.) So I'm glad we've got this signing.
Next up on the January wishlist is a no.10 and a contract extension for Eze.

You can forget the contract extension for Eze very much doubt its going to happen. We couldnt afford him and if we did pay it, there wouldnt be much left for any others.

Hooper felt like that guy to me when he signed - probably perfect number of years ago for nostalgia but 19/20 was a fun season

If it's a signing to June 2028, as Piney has speculated that's a 2.5 season deal. Impressive stuff by the Nix if so. I think BT will star in the A League once up to speed.
Eze wants to go to Europe, and with the way he's playing he'll get his wish.

I'm pleasantly suprised by 1) this signing and 2) the length of the contract. You only get paid what a club is willing to offer, but you gotta think he's taking a decent pay cut given he's had quite a few years on some big (US) coin.
Great signing for the squad. And hopefully another chance of Fifa world cup daily player payments to the nix if he makes the wc squad. Would cover a chunk of his wages for the year.

I feel like we should be able to afford resigning Eze? He would’ve of come here on that high of a wage coming from the Iraq league so even if he wants double it’s probably still less than what Zawada was on when he came here and way less than what he would’ve been wanting to stay.
Stuck record here but the Nix have been short a centre back, even two, since the start and should've addressed this earlier, rather than shoehorning Payne, Sheridan, LKH and Piper into the role. Sorely needed signing.

If it was a 23 man squad, he'd be right on the periphery of selection, to the point where I feel he may just miss out based on recent lack of minutes at club level.
However, in a 26 man squad, with the positions he covers, the experience he brings, and the fact he will get a lot of minutes here in the A-League, then I think he makes the cut.
It's all about performance too - It's not an absolute guarantee that he'll be there, so it's a big carrot for him to chase in what will possibly be his last chance at making a World Cup squad. He'll know that too.
Good areas all round - A statement of intent by the club bringing him in, and the motivation of making that World Cup bound AW's squad will hopefully bring out the best in Bill on the pitch.
Not to go too off topic here, but don’t you only need 2 legs and to be able to run to make the all whites squad? 😆 if we’re calling up Ben Waine who gets no minutes in Port Vale then surely he will get a call up? That’s a topic for another thread though.. good signing thisYoungHeartHM

I just love the sweet smell of vindication, the amount of times I’ve said he would be good for the Nix and I got rubbished “he will go to afc” “we can’t afford him” “he will stay in states” yet here his is at the Nix till 2028
and now we wait for the praise being loaded on Dome and Gill and co for getting thissigning across the line....... come on you AKP and NP, time to show you're true colours.

No we cant afford him and think your well off in whatyou may think the offers are he is attracting.
I am in full praise of Dome & wellnix for this, credit to them for pulling this off.. Does this mean with this signing we should be aiming for a top 4 finish and aim to win a finals game? or were still in a lets make top 6 as our barometer of success... Genuine question here, not trying to troll or fish reactions.. With big signings come big expectations, and I think the goalposts should move throughout the season accordingly. The league is very even & somewhat low in quality this season, any moves like this can be big game changers theprof

As well as how long we've got him for, credit as well for them getting the signing sorted so early, still a few days before the AL men transfer window officially opens.
I know it's different since he was a free agent, but credit where credit is due.
Assuming we can't lock Eze in for a eyar or two and he leaves on a free to Europe end of this season we seriously need to bolster the strike force, Piper does ok, but he isnt the solution.

Totally agree. Although, I love Piper and like I predicted last season he is still improving. He'll be a bolted on starter next season. Needs a partner up front though.

As others have said, let's see what Mlieusnic can do. Maybe we genuinely need to say to Ben Waine, or Max Mata, "would you like to go to WC 2026? Sign here."

If we sneak into the top 6 with this start I'd call it a success.
If we don't I feel that should be the end of chiefy...
Bill as a CB looks best for me. Can't wait to see him scoring from corners!
