LOL missed penalty for Roar after a series of Nix errors. Gave the ball away then Josh rugby tackles Roar attacker. 

God we are bad to watch.

Opposition players must enjoy playing against us. Get lots of possession in our half. Plenty of touches on the ball. Able to knock it around without much pressure. Then when they lose possession they have plenty of time to get back into defensive shape while we knock it around at the back.

Not sure what's going on between sutts and GSR but sutts just won't pass him the ball. Doesn't help that GSR isn't great at tracking back. 

I think our biggest weakness so far is not having a midfield

Really would have hoped that Chiefy would have showed us something different for this game, give us a bit of hope for next season, but this is bloody dire.

We make the worst teams in the A-league look like Barcelona. Total domination by Brisbane, Perth, etc.

It’s truly incredible. Looks like we just show up and don’t even want to win. 

I’m not sure you could actually set up with worse tactics. 

Our whole team basically just sits in our own third, doesn’t press at all, allows the opposition to control the game, and then we pass it sideways or backwards if we ever do get the ball.

All we are doing is sitting deep asking for trouble.

7 shots on target in our last 4 games. And within those games we played the two bottom teams in the league.

Hiw the F did Chiefy keep his job.

LKH on the ball and our 2 cms in a line, none of them moving looking for space or the ball.

I like the calmness that LKH brings to our backline. He reads the game well and can pick a pass. Give him a mobile midfield in front of him and we could be away.

Cant play when he has been injured for a big part of the season.

this is a very dull game.

so many things to like about our goal. but can we look to be doing this a bit more often please? maybe this is what we're building towards. one day we will get there.

Maybe it is crazy hot over there making things difficult. Might explain why LBS just stopped for no reason at all, under zero pressure, in a promising counterattack with scores of our players flooding forwards. Nothing else makes sense

Pretty shark tackle on Walker to see him subbed off, but LBS has made a good impact. Brave header by Kosta. I think Sutts has been doing well. Made several runs forward, remember its 31 degrees. Rufer and Retre combining quite well in the centre midfield, and LKH doing well as centre back.

Cheers! Still 29 degrees at half-time, not quite as humid as last night but give it time.

I was surrounded by a family with a horde of little kids but they left because the youngest ones were past their bedtime, so shirt off it may be! The mum was telling me her little boy ran out with the Nix though, so despite all the kids in the stand chanting “let’s go Brisbane let’s go!” I’m not the only Phoenix supporter for the night.

I might refrain from the “same old Aussies, always cheating” chant though, don’t think it’d be that constructive.
