Fire up farken! Finals football is back baby. 3rd time in the last 4 seasons, but so much longer sincr we've gotten past the first round and there's not been many better opportunities than tonight. Fudge Western, up the nix
10 years since we won a finals match, Paul Ifill scored the winner. Time for the boys to make some history and cement Uffie as the greatest Phoenix manager of all time

I'm not ready to say ta-ta to weekend night football just yet. Do the job Nix and see us fans get at least another two more games to watch!

TAB has WU firm favourites to win, the Nix paying $3.85 to a dollar

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Come on boys, should be a great contest. Will we start cautious or going for it? I think we will attack early because we are good at hanging onto leads and playing on the counter.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

It's almost like the TAB want to give money away.

$100 on the boys. Bring it home lads, and give those bastards hell! COYN!! 🟡⚫🟡🦅

big call on starting Hooper. Hope he can prove me wrong, but i just think that Waine or Jaush would have been better.

Talay likes Surman and he likes Pennington (because Italiano likes him).

How long since Ball and Hooper has started a game together?

I think if we want to play up with lots of balls into their box (rather than other weeks where we gave up possession and looked to counter) hooper is the best option. He is able to hold up better, pass better and possibly finish in tight spaces better than waine or sotirio. I could be wrong but the line up makes it look like the style we play will suit hooper.

Hooper has that big game experience, and basically, it's go big or go home, literally. I back it. Also have no problem with Surman starting as an 18 y/o CB as he's been solid since he's come in.

Waine and Sotirio will get their chance off the bench, of that I'm sure.

this is how western line up. worried about the potential movement of Wales and WH against our CBs. But the line up isnt as strong as it could be (mainly due to injures). Getting Reno to run at Imai could be fruitful.

At least wu have no home advantage (because they have no fans)

Amazing.  We have a bench! When was the last time we had an actual bench that could create an impact?

I think it's the right call, WU is the oldest team in the comp and has injury troubles. Start Hooper and save the young guns for late in the game (or in extra time) when WU is tiring.

Not a yellow? Just kicked him. First one is free in the AFC!

Good zip about our play so far. Really liking our start. Great save by Young for them off Reno.

Our 11 is more than good enough to turn this around. But defensive blunders like that is why we finished 6th and not top 3

Blaming Piscopo for the goal because of an over hit pass a whole phase of play earlier. Ridiculous.

As a neutral, Nix have the goods, but geez, you’re giving to much space when defending. Shut them down.

This could be over by half time if we aren't careful. Defence looks porous to say the least.

Surman is actually very good for a young bloke.

Both sides looking threatening going forward. Definitely more goals in this one. God I hate our defending though.

Hanging on by the seat of our pants at times... like just then 😩
