Pennington and Sandoval have both tried to force passes and missed in the last few minutes.

I see WU pressing much higher than they did in their previous games.  

We seem to be deliberate in our build up and transition.

 Someone else may want to comment, but clearly Aloisi surprised Uffie with doing something differently.  Uffie may pull some changes at halftime (which means he knows what it was) or at 60-70 minutes (if he does not).

WU counter attack at speed, we dick around and slow it down and achieve nothing but pressure on our own defence. Quite frustrating and I really dislike the 3 man defence. player a more 4-4-2 is so much better with the players we have.

Pick up the pace lads. Move the ball fast and run, it's all slowed down. 

Settling into this with untroubled build up play, but they'll be happy to just let us have the ball because it's all in front of them, need to get in behind and turn them. Liking Hooper trying to come deeper and get on the ball. But it's slowed to the pace that they want, they can manage this and will suit them perfectly.

Yea, a 3rd Melbourne and Sydney team were a massive mistake by the FFA. They thought more derbies would be good but it just hasn't worked out - at least yet. Think they're long term projects but meh

Vital we don't ship another goal before HT. We look really fragile right now.

We normally score on the counter but we are playing a game for them to his us on it.

Or as others have said previously we’ve beaten them with counter attacking with Sotirio and Waine with swift transitions and pace in behind.

Here we’re time wasting for them. This is our most experienced attack on paper, but they haven’t played together much and we haven’t played these tactics recently.

Faster transitions now though…

I'd swap Piscipo for Sotirio at half time.

Piscopo has to stay on, but yeh- Sotirio was preferred to Hooper at key points of the season and it was a gamble to not include him.

He’s covered a lot of gaps in our team this season- the much more vaunted front 4 should have scored. 

You can see how little time Hooper and Sandoval spent playing together - I do not think they know each other.

Going to bump my opinion that Sandoval is crap. Doesn't do any defensive work and does nothing going forward. Old on please...

Need Sotirio on for Hooper to inject some pace into our midfield. Possibly play 4-4-2, or 4-2-3-1 as we're very shaky at the back

Oli Sail deserves much, much, much better protection in front of him. 

Sutts is having a very poor game so far. Been caught out several times which has lead to snake attacks down that left hand flank.

Predictable pace from us after initially playing with a bit of freedom and flair. Lots of work on's for Uffie at the half, but we can still get this with a few tweaks and adaptations.

As an aside, Surman has a very bright future ahead. Been  switched on and up to the task from the get go.

We’ve gone with plan A and it hasn’t worked so far. Sotirio and Waine should feature, but for who and when? 
We’ve had Payne get in behind and cross to Hooper once almost successfully, but it’s no way to chase a game IMO. 

Actually that might have been from a lovely left foot pass from Surman. I think it’s more that we haven’t lived up to our potential than they’ve outplayed us.

Hopefully we can come out with a drastic improvement in intent like the second half of the last game. Except this time we make the win happen.

Well he's the top G+A in our team, so...

I agree he's been nothing doing tonight though. That ankle tap f-d him. Typical of when we play in Aus, the ref just lets the other team foul out our creative players.
