Pennington for Ball - retracting Ball is still there. Who did he come on for?
Ugarkovic for Rufer - not surprising.

I don't know if we're sitting back. But we're not going to win this if we can't string more than a couple of passes together and let Sydney dominate possession.

Kosta has been disappointing or nonexistent.

That was bloody close. Too close.

Need to get on the ball and hold our possession, we're just not the team that is going to blockade our way to a 1-0 win. Hopefully these changes give us some impetus and time with the ball, rather than goofing it upfield aimlessly.

Is it Uffie's tactics to sit back when we're leading or is it the players dropping off naturally or just the opposition stepping up their game?

He's been playing wing back half the time helping the D. It's not his fault we can't get it over half way.

not sure, I struggle to see either as accurate, why would a coach be asking his team to sit on a 1-0 lead? and assuming he isnt why are the players backing off?

this phase of the game is the one part of Uffies tactics I dont like, we sit back and invite the opponent to attack us.
Invariably they score.......... sigh
thank fudge for that......very close!
yup agreed.  Keep attacking and keep possession of the ball is a great defense tactic.

Shaun Evans. Delivering for Sydney. Not a single yellow for Sydney yet.

Let’s be honest, if they’re cheats, corrupt or incompetent- bad reffing has hugely influenced our season.

Don’t think you can appeal a yellow. Context and refs opinion.

Yeah look tough decision but maybe we should have subbed him off since he was on a yellow? I don't know. Cracking another beer for good luck.

That's seriously fudgeed.  At least 2 "accidental" stomps from Syndey.  Nothing.  A second yellow for that?

Fudge right off.

Sydney are so bad at the moment, even with the ref in their pocket they look god awful with the ball at their feet,

Studs into calf/archilles is a bit hard to argue. But the overall foul count is the question.

it would be great if you could use examples of calls the ref made in a game that weren't yellows for context.

barely, so many studs to feet from Sydney have gone unnoticed!

I can see why its a yellow. Maybe lacking a bit of common sense from the ref in that he doesn't really deserve to be sent off. Worse is the yellows that Sydney have been avoiding.

Hey but these counters are looking good - put the ball in the net off one of them and we'll be set! COYN!

It was like the outside of his studs grazing his calf you can tell there was no intent to studs him.

sure,
but the ref has to weigh it all up....
first is it a foul? - yep
second was it clumsy or intentional? for mine clumsy, still a foul.
does any of the above warrant a card? - no way in hell.

There is definitely an argument to be made that kraev should have been subbed in the subs before that.

why,? he was still looking dangerous and fit enough to play the 90. You want to keep your best players on the pitch for as long as possible.
