Surely have to put Sutts at LB and push LKH to that midfield role. It's about the 3rd or 4th time Drew has got in behind like that...

Lukas doesn't have to pace to keep up with him.

Not good goalkeeping let’s be honest.
Funny thing to pick out because I was more worried about the acres of space we gave their attackers - Hollman shoots with such power because he has the space to line it up

It wasn't good goalkeeping though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Both of our "defensive midfielders" can't defend. Where was Retre and Nagasawa when Macarthur have been making all those breaks they've had already? No sense of danger, no urgency to get back

Kurto saves that. Agreed? That’s my point.

Thank God we have experienced heads like Ball and Al-Taay to bring on to provide some stability! And thank goodness for some attacking experience in Van Hattum!

Oh wait...

Isn't all this complaining about releasing players getting old? It's tedious to read.

We all know the situation we're in.

Does not look like Macarthur had to get out of second gear as yet, saving themselves some energy for the next game.

As tedious as watching us pass along our back line?

Kosta cutting a frustrated figure. Don't blame him tbh.

Harper is an idiot.
‘There’s no nipping at the heels’ as we win the ball in midfield.

Brattan can go to hell several times over too.

The good thing about shark nix is I can go to bed at half time and sleep like a baby. Good nix teams over the last few years would have had me up till 11 and my heart racing too much to sleep after.

Wonder how Hughes would go in a DM position?

He anticipates well, he can drives forward at speed, something Retre and Nagasawa seemingly can’t do, he’s a good defender.

NO YELLOW???

Professional foul to break up play, dangerous and late, after kicking Kosta last time.

That’s simply wrong.

Have been thinking that since that game against the roar last season. He needs to work on his passing but i feel he has the rest of the skills to make it work

I don't usually bag players, but Piper needs to come off at HT. For his own good. Get young Xuan (sp?) and give him a chance. As a regular RB, you'd think he would have at least a theoretical understanding of the word "defending", unlike Piper

Well at least we've found the next Alex Paulsen! Might as well negotiate an early release for Oluwayemi while we're at it.

What the fudge are we doing at the back?

Bar one, shot all straight at him, but Alby has done exceptionally well there to stop me from turning the tv off.

Not sure I would take Piper off. If you bring Xuan Loke for the second half then leave Piper on to move upfront.

I can see the strategy that is now in place by the Nix masters.

Defend like sharke, promote a 19 year old goal keeper, hoping he will make a large quantity of saves

Then Ching Ching - sale

Auckland will rise once more

Piper and Ishige are unknowns. They can do something from very little, potentially. But yeh the two FBs scare me!

And neither Retre or Nagasawa have legs going forward.

And they’ve got the indomitable Kurto. Vaguely recall he was immense for them last time.

Well, not terrible, but still missing anyone to dribble forward and complete a couple of passes at pace- Payne, Conchie, Sutton has been marshaled, even Piper, because he’s getting space wide…

There was a play where Piper failed to even touch the ball inside our own penalty box. He's like a cone when it comes to defending, sorry.

This is the Macarthur team (sans Rose) that beat us in Wellington when we had a few more good players on the park.  So I am not surprised we are at sixes and sevens.  "Poor individual decision-making" is what I see as a big consequence (disadvantage) of us fielding a young, depleted squad.

Positives:
- It's only 1-0 somehow
- Alby

Negatives:
- Pretty much everything else

Positives vs negatives:
I prefer Piper wreaking havoc upfront than Piper in our defence wreaking havoc.

We've also had more shots and shots on target than some complete games.....
