Controversial perhaps but does anyone else think David Ball with a bit of training would be a killer DM? He doesnt have the speed or killer instinct for a striker/forward these days. Holy hell does have have the mongrel we are missing in the middle though

Solid first half some decent chances where we could’ve got a second definitely need to come out second half firing and put the game to bed as Westerns strategy seems to just long ball and cross eventually they’ll get one right and with their height over us they’ll get a goal out of nothing
It's a small thing but that's an indication of our subconscious mindset: Rufer could've passed the ball but instead belted it upfield to no one. Be nice to see us pressing for a killer second goal rather than being content to defend the lead.

Maybe more of an attacking/box to box CM would suit him sorta what Rooney did at the end of his career
Our midfield has been very good. Rufer and Ugark mopping things up and passing thru the lines well. Sasse seems to have allowance to roam a bit and that is creating openings. Mauragis and Elliot working the lines very well. Now to concentrate on doing the same this half

Yeah seems weird that we tried playing him wider where he’s probably best played how we played Uli that drifted centrally a lot
