fudge me, steam behind, couldnt refresh once I saw we had a pen. Think we have this one in the bag. Still shouldn't stop attacking, put them to the sword

Clean sheet is the next goal. Our attack has had a boost now our defence needs one.

Bah, we're having a blinder and I can only partly watch in between jobs. 😓

From what I've seen Western have looked bloody ordinary though. Fair assessment?
Look dangerous at times going forward but their defence has let them down badly.

yeah should have finished there but again it was a really good save. On the ground to the corner.

I think Sasse has been good this game, with the attack stacked perhaps he has the space needed to build in to the Davilla'esk player Uffie and the squad think he is. Jury still out but a good game from him so far.

another close call from Zawada and then a poor cross/shot. He is in the form of his life but sometimes he just seems to not have a strikers confidence. Like last week with the assist.
Late, good save and also Diamante should have been off for that? No challenge for the ball, just purposefully kicked the player and high too. Is that not violent conduct?

It'd make so much difference to the a-league as a product if they just had the fans sit in the stands that the TV camera faces. Or move the camera to the other side of the stadiums. It can't be that hard can it?

i think we can completely do them by running in behind, therefore time for OVH

They do for the most part, if their are fans to show. The game is out of town for a team that has no fans dont forget

Sasse had a great game, even apart from his goal, his passing was good and he caused heaps of trouble. Nice to see.

Fairly sure Sasse isnt slow so we could have been doing that all game. I would assume analytics say their defensive line is not slow enough for that. Plus I think OVH is more of a Sawada like for like. Looks fast because he is young, comes on late and runs like a madman.

I feel like that’s Uffie being careful of not blowing this lead lol but also he tends to not really make many subs when we’re playing well

Odd that we have not tried to defend after the first goal to be fair.

They do, they usually try and sell the side across from the TV cameras first. I don't know why they haven't done it here, but there's legitimately very few people there.

yeah, Zawada could have had a hatty again. Maybe the mark of a not prolific striker hitting their purple patch with us. Shouldn't expect him to score chances but be happy when he does?

Could’ve been 6-0 hopefully when it matters we finish those chances but other than that brilliant game really felt like a complete team and 90 minute performance which I don’t we’ve really had all season. Elliot did great at defending that right side too

Also feel Diamante and Imai could have finshed the game with early showers. Good win though, getting several goals against a struggling team may not seem significant however for us I think that pushing on to score more and kill the game off could do wonders for the group mentality. We won and did not concede because we pushed to kill them off. Hopefully that will trigger a mindset change that began when be bottle a 2-0 against this exact team. Up the lads and fudge yes on the win. Have a good night fever!

Great all round performance. The defence looked confident and coped with the threats. The centre midfield dominated, Rufer especially. The passing up through the midfield was very good and then for variety, the balls down the line were great too with Elliot and Mauragis and Sutton all dangerous. Kraev and Sasse excellent games. Sail flawless. Well done everyone!

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Wonder with Kraev's form if he'll get called up to the national team hasn't played since 21 but in probably the best form of his career.
