Our defense was solid today, a couple of wayward passes from tuiloma. Edwards had a good game for me.

This game is all I wanted this season. No ridiculous high lines, or nonsense formations with players unsure of what their role is or unable to do the role. No manager on the sidelines constantly yelling at them to press but also chase all the way back every time the high line fails. Honestly not a huge ask.

Piper needed to be able to test the keeper thier. Wouldn't mind seeing pounds to run at them for a bit

We have missed several HUGE chances under little to no pressure so far - really hope we aren't made to pay for it

Perth either didnt turn up or we completely shut them down. Really encouraging performance in that respect (brilliant from all of our back 4 and 6s) but we showed so little quality in the final third, Kartum must be watching and thinking how am I on the bench behind these guys? LBS too

Really really good performance. Never let perf in the game. Probably should made more of our opportunities but this is a team with low morale on the rebuild and that's the biggest positive to take away today. We are on the way up!!

And it was fantastic that we didnt see Chiefyball today. That was definitely Greenieball

Tactically very smart today. Well set up and then good substitutions when required

My main concern coming into the match was how clinical Perth could be. They only had four shots against Auckland last weekend but both their shots on target resulted in goals.

Our defence was very good today, the most threatening Perth looked was on the counter at times in the first half and towards the end, after Pennington's own goal.

Disappointing final product in the attacking third, could've had at least four goals today, but I will definitely take a 2-0 win at home and clean sheet.

That was an ugly win.
Not sure why people are so enthusiastic!
Good to see a less defensive formation, but we didn't show too much when we had the ball.
