Take this with a grain of salt because it's complete hearsay, but from what I'm hearing Uffie has lost the dressing room. My Dad was talking to a workmate who had been talking to Ben Waine's Dad, and according to Waineo's Dad Uffie had a proper shout at the team some point recently and they didn't respond well. Maybe this is a factor to why we're copping games 4-0? Also some hints that Uffie might wanna coach a team from Australia next season, but I'll believe that when there's solid proof. Once again could be completely false, but I figured I'd put it out there.

Even if the players did get a blast post one match - and lets's face it there have been a few hidings this season, so take a pick - doesn't mean he has 'lost the dressing room', just because the players sulked afterwards.

And you'd think it would most likely be the younger guys (which may include Waine) that didn't take any blast so well. Wager it would be water off a duck's back for likes of Wootton, Ball, Payne etc - who have heard it all before.

Talay recently made some pointed remarks that the young guys need to grab their opportunities. That pro football is brutal, how much do they want it, and they may not get another opportunity. Their pro football dreams could be over before they realise. He’s only being honest, esp for those who dream of Europe - where it is even more cut throat

Seems pretty far fetched but i would believe the part about not responding well to being shouted out, that is endemic in modern footballers.

It’s always harder when you get thumped 4-0 every other week but we’ve been bloody poor on the basics recently. Passing, shooting, movement. Understandably Uffie may have given the squad the old hairdryer treatment. 

Rumors could be true as I wouldn't be surprised if Uffie had a go at the team but surely as professionals, you'd expect that after being spanked a few games and take it on the chin and respond accordingly

I’d expect there to be some unhappy folk with the performances the way they’ve been. That changes with results. That said, it’s not fair to ask academy and first year players to paper over a squad with little top flight experience.

This is a chance at some finals football, perhaps even a home final still?

A week is a long time in football and I've got my optimist's hat back on. Two wins definitely puts us in the top 6. It also gives us a rough chance of a home final, providing Adelaide and Mariners don't manage to reach 39 points in their last games.

Hate to stay it but this stinks of some of the BS that happened at the Kingz, eg John Markovski. Signed as a decent forward yet thrown on as a CB as he was "tall".  Not a good call by all involved (management).

Yeah could be a stinker but also could be a masterstroke. I feel as well moving a natural winger to RWB isn't too much of a difference where they'd be out of their depth compared to a ST moving to CB

Sadly, I will miss my first ever home game. I should be arriving in Hastings at kick off time. Some family business that needs sorting. So it is with a very heavy heart that I type. I wish you all the very best with the game. Tonight they said they were expecting less than 12k. I hope there's a decent turnout. Don't be surprised if we lose. WSW won 3 nights ago and absolutely smashed the opposition. They played extremely well. I'm hoping my anti Jinx might work by predicting a WSW win.

3-2 is hardly a smashing LG, looks like they started string and after 25 mins struggled.had less possession too just used it early and faded. With a week to rest and prepare I'd expect us to start strong and keep the energy high. 

This Sotirio thing is either 1) bollocks to distract WSW or 2) Uffie looking at how the heck we can win games in this finals series if we get there. No point limping into the finals with resurgent teams in the Jets CCM and Victory. Let alone the others.

Tomorrow is a day to make a statement. We’re ready to start our finals run is I hope what the statement is! 

While we’ve had some hidings this year, we’ve also won knockout games, a penalty shootout and won in injury time. There’s been a few times we’ve gone into the finals with a star team and been a one game wonder. Hopefully this year we have a team with low expectations, but we rampage.

Surely instead of playing Sotirio at full back you'd move Payne there instead (if Elliot is injured and you want to drop Fenton)... Sotirio is involved in too many of our goals to not have him up front.

Just the idea of it reminds me of that time Wynton Rufer thought it would be a good idea to play as a defender for the Kingz.

Reeks of another Uffie bluff job. 

He did a brilliant one against WU at Ballarat, few weeks back. Talk pre game about Elliott or Fenton playing AM, all a bit gloomy. No mention of the formation change he was gonna make, or of Sotiro & Piscopo both coming in to start. Caught John Aloisi on the hop. 

Hoping for a repeat with Rudan maybe. Could Laws or Hooper be snuck into the squad on the sly.

All the article said was:  "The bigger surprise could come on the right flank, where Jaushua Sotirio – who is nominally a forward – lined up ahead of Louis Fenton." 

Does "ahead of" mean 'instead of', as commenters seem to be interpreting, or simply 'in front of', i.e., at RW rather than RWB?

I can't confirm or guarantee it's the same, but I know in previous seasons they have at eden park. Just inside the North/West entrance to the ground.

I wish I could be there, Auckland make some noise and help the boys to win this must win. Will watch from home, fire up!
