I really question why Nagasawa was on the bench for so many weeks when we were still in it, he was put on the bench after one of his best performances for us - and I was really critical of him before then. How we've managed a few players this season has been baffling

was confirmed by Kosta recently that both he and the club have the option to unilaterally extend his contract for another year. No chance that either he or the club doesn't trigger it. He's ours next season for sure maynardf

Appears goal has at least initially been awarded to Nagasawa but I expect that to be taken away from him. Looks like an OG and his reaction after it went in also makes it look like that is what happened as well
Where has this been all season - great first half, but really disappointing that we haven't played like this earlier in the year.
I have not been a fan of Sheridan this year in his midfield role, but it has played a better half so far and actually looked to be more attacking which has helped.

That was fun. Costa you gem! Our transitional play has been outstanding. Look what happens when you get a fit Rufer and our two Japanese imports putting on a good shift. Defense has been tight and well organised too. Since Chiefy gave up playing out from the back we have looked ok. Such a shame about Chico.....he would be carving up the Jets

A change of tactics that we needed 8 games ago has paid dividends last week and so far this week…… do I dare to dream we sneak into the top 6? I do wonder if des had some sort of input after his visit last week
Absolutely unheard of! - that usually takes multiple games to get those stats, not just 45 minutes!
Great first half, love the attacking intent. Hope we continue with it in the 2nd half - also side note I'd love to see LBS get a run at this Newcastle defence

The Jets do seem a bit lackluster, but is that because we’re taking it to them? Or their coaching issues?
It seems like a further experimental line though with Ishige playing deeper near Rufer at times, and Nagasawa playing off Kosta’s shoulder?
Maybe in your 30s and not built like Piper you’re less likely to throw yourself into challenges. I think that physicality criticism still stands, especially with the way the refs have been ruling this season.
Can we get Brooke-Smith or someone off the bench to finish it off?
The real tragedy of this season is this was Kosta's season to win the Golden Boot. If we had been half decent he would be out of sight atop the goalscorers chart
