Jumped into him with his back. No attempt to play the ball. Foul all day on any other player anywhere. Then the Jets player comes over and gives it to Oluwayemi. Don’t talk to me.

That is a foul but it's not the first time that Josh has looked weak when put under any sort of pressure. He's supposed to be this massive physical specimen but it's clearly all for show and doesn't give him any functional strength because he gave away a goal due to minor contact from Wootton earlier this season too. He needs to change up whatever he is doing in the gym because it isn't working for him. 

Yes the keeper could have been stronger, but he had the ball in his hands til he got hit by the Newcastle player.

the jets aren't playing like an academy side this half. i think they made it easy for us first half.

Think we were saved by the offside. They can't give an offside by VAR, but, it wouldn't have been in the spirit of the game to give a penalty with a known offside that close in the buildup

The Nix should have be embarrassed about Auckland all the first half. Not Sydneys or Melbournes who have had their attendance and teams blown out of the water by a believed 7 million dollar team, the Nix. From a city of 400k, with a stable organisation, who were bailing out Newcastle.

Then, the player has lost the ball far in front of him, goes over on what looks like minimal and sort after contact and Harper is going off like he’s Emma Thompson representing Daniel Day-Lewis (keeping the references up to date there). 

Best thing A leagues could do for the coverage is just sack the commentators.

In fairness, their goal shouldn’t have stood so it evened out. This second half since the Japanese duo went off has been horrific. The Phoenix of this season for sure. Absolute horsesharke and devoid of confidence.

If Piper scored in the first half, I’d probably have him MOTM
