it's actually quite fun to see some spice in a game, and we are not the only ones getting cards for it.

Wait is Poppa’s Victory more unlikeable than Muscat’s?
Both have Broxham of course!

3 - 1 on yellows against them (including Pops).
Don't think he has been that bad... plus we got both pen calls, so thats a nice change.
Old making nice attacking runs, but needs to release the ball earlier.
Considering the first 10... not so bad!

By looking at our passing sequences, we come worst off when we play short in our own half and it’s the part of our game I don’t understand why we have changed as we have transitioned to a counter attacking team.

the absorb pressure and hit on the counter=attack seems to have been a definitive change from Uffie this half of the season - I suspect it's something he's wanted to do for ages.

2nd half should favor us more attacking with the better side on the left

The change I think is due to personal.
We lack a quality midfield, hard to play possession when you lack the quality thus the change.
Suits the pace of Sotorio and Waine is not slouch.

But when we have the ball, we struggle to absorb any pressure or break fast if we do get through the press

Sutts and McGarry have hit some crackers for no return! Saves and posts. Would love it if we made the finals series and they started going in then.

I think with that smash from Sutton and the two pens we've now had more shots on target than Victory?
Easy game this.

Not a bad half, but I think we are lucky to go in 1 on 1.
We are defending too deep and asking for trouble, it has not worked all year. I don't mind sitting deep to counter, but not that far back. Waine is doing too much on D.
Old doing well on the counter, playing with a bit more intent which has been good.

We’re sitting waaay too deep. But what’s our change up option?

there is none at this stage, due to the lack of midfielders.
the longer it stays 1-1 and we continue to frustrate Victory, the better for us.

I would like professional fouls like that upgraded to be a red card.
Geez we’re just getting the yellows- plus it’s nice to have the game management option later in the game…

maybe but Evans is awful at calling fouls for bad tackles, whistle should have gone twice before the goal, once for a Pennington handball and then the foul on Fenton!

has to be the red card challenge on Old that he's looking at

Surely you can't go back that far for that. If it was a red absolutely, but no way thats a red.
Still think VAR is a farce.

If victory don't land this penalty the crowd will storm the pitch I fear.

This is mental. Goal should stand.
If Shaun Evans thinks the challenge was fine, it’s not clear or obvious.
Some weeks you can HB and studs into shins, some you can’t. Inconsistency.
And too long a delay.
Over reach from Beath IMO.
