We have to put up with this nonsense, week-in, week-out, and are gaslit constantly by the club saying that fans "have short memories" and that there's lots of "cr*p posted online".
Yet, for whatever reason, we still tune in, and support this club. And have at least another season of this to look forward to.
Last home game of the season at the Cake Tin next week, there must be something we can do next week as fans to show we're not going to keep putting up with this shark.
How on earth did we give this man another year. Over 30 shots on goal against us... all this talk of we want to win our final 2 games and we just play the same uninspiring dross.
This team is below us on the table, hasn't had a clean sheet in over a year and played midweek and we do what... nothing, absolutely nothing.
Fudge this, cmon the PORT tomorrow, give me something as a NZ Football fan to actually enjoy!!
Wait, Chief has pushed you into supporting the supporters groWellington is the home of football.?
Worried about you mate.
Also hopefully Forest, or Saint Etienne or PeC Zwolle or Empoli or Portland or Padova or whatever Dyer’s LoI team is…or Karori Masters or the local JHS volleyball tournament…
Despair is a sin! Many choices ahead of Auckland FC…
Italiano talked about learning a lot this season, what did he actually learned? There is no progress in tactics playing style since for ever. This is why I don’t believe anything he says anymore, he just is not capable to change anything. Players don’t look like to be there, you literally can see they don’t know how to play forward. Rufer signed off as well. It’s kinda sad.
Like what? Just don’t go, crowd numbers probably will have the gest effect.
I pop down to Wellington at least once a year for a Nix game, did the derby this year and possibly next year too, but if I want to watch an interested NZ team next year, I’ll take a trip to Auckland.

I’ll be there on Friday, but seemed quite fortunate that I tried to tune in for this game today but gave up after 6mins as sky go was just not working (don’t think it was the app in fairness). Sounds like it was a blessing in disguise! Needs to be some turnaround against Perth…
You can't make this up, the Brisbane goalkeeper is celebrating his first clean sheet since the COVID era and taking selfies with fans. We play 5 at the back versus the second worst team in the league.
We allow one of the worst team's to have like 30 shots on goal and completely dominate the match (something we have to witness again).
Italiano blaming "continuity and consistency of player availability", and being "disappointed" in the performance, but not concerned that they have all these shots (suggesting they are out of the box and non-threatening).
3k attendance our last match, the fans have had enough. The club is blaming the fans and saying we have "short memories"
Yet we just re-signed our coach. It's hard to wrap your head around it all.
I am in the thought that this could be a player protest? In the Caribean on a ship cruise, so couldn't get the game as internet not that great, just as bloody well.
So the club is saving money on the players and coach to send all the fans on Carribean cruises as an apology? First quality idea I’ve heard in a long time!

Yeah I agreed with him until that last sentence.
Why on earth would you now cheer on our rivals? They’re about to do in less than a year what we’ve failed to do in 18 years.
I’m embarrassed.

LBS is a "genuinely thrilling" player. Really should be starting, for the umpteenth time. Hope Italiano fields the strongest team for the final game. imanixsupporter
Can't remember being this apathetic about a Nix game in a long time. Essentially nothing to play for. We have zero young exciting attacking players (you are kidding yourself if you think Piper or Walker or LBS are genuinely thrilling players). We don't have a player with x-factor like Rojas or Chico or Old or Ifill or Davila or Singh who is just straight up fun to watch. If we do win it is all very utilitarian. The best we can hope for is a defensively solid performance with a set piece goal and a Kosta counterattacking smash and grab style goal. When the win itself doesn't matter its kinda hard to get excited about the way we play.

It’s a syndrome we have to support each other through. I’m absolutely stoked for Rogerson. I thought Mata might have done enough too. And De Vries has shown us we need to look at Wilkins too. Paulsen doesn’t look entirely like a hostage. Pijnaker punched a good goal. Tommy Smith could play in this league with a few helpful players around him.
The Phoenix and the Yellow Fever are bigger and prouder than this game, and we’ve got to get each other through until we rise again!
i'll hold my hands up, he played very well today, better than he ever has for us. I'd be happy to see more of him playing like that. nixin

We need to score more goals. By trying to score more goals. Dammit observer! My apologies Valeo. Chief is determined to make people who try to support him look like idiots.

Vote with your wallets. Don't pay for entertainment if it's not entertaining. Chief isn't going to change, he would have if he was going to, he thinks he is right. He has no tactical tool box and got lucky with a once in a decade nix squad last season.
If you think chief should have got an extension you are dillussional. Just watch the press conferences.
All the talk about shots and xG pre-match and we managed six against 12th place and conceded thirty (30!) ourselves...
Though only conceded one tbf. But omg they were so honking. On a player v player basis and on a team v team basis and in theory on a coach v coach basis too…

Chiefy this season. Screenshot 2025-04-26 at 7.30.54 PM.png607.8 KB All we need is some of the best defenders and goalkeeper in the league, and some of the best forwards and finishers in transition!
Apart from a short boost when the late subs came on that was DIRE. You know you are shiite when the only spark comes from a 16 year old sub. Remember....its all our fault because we have short memories.

And in the post match interview he said we need improvements "in all areas".
And again blaming the players for a disappointing start and the opposition having non-threatening shots at the goal, despite the fact they continuously score these "non-threatening" 20-30 shots every team has against us (he's done this so many times this season I've lost count).
And then points out the "cr*p" posted online by fans, and club management saying we all have "short memories".
It's like everything he is doing as coach is right and everyone else is wrong.

Imagine how good we could have been last year with those players and a versatile coach. Because while you lot might have short memories, I actually remember sitting through the games we had zero shots on goal and defended for 90mins. Having a long memory is not the validating zinger the club think it is.
IMO Sheridan's been ok in mid through the season, but not dangerous or game-changing, like LBS or Nagasawa can be. Today had a poor game. As well as passing it out, he killed a multi-pass attacking move at the edge of the box with a poor through ball. I don't think Nagasawa would've done that. Maybe he's better as a RB.reg22

rufs, kosta and lkh involved in anything that we are stringing together
sheridan kicking it straigh in to touch after being played in to a half space sums us up.
For once Reg, I disagree. Sheridan has been good at breaking up play and making a short pass to a better playmaker, for me that's what you want from one of your pivots. IKH on the other hand, what is he doing in midfield? I've been watching him closely and I'm sorry but he's not offering a thing.
yeah, you're right re lkh. i think in hindsight he had a decent 5 minutes. but sheridan did just welly a ball in to touch when played in.
