Really feels like the Nix have not worked on set pieces this season. penalties, corners and free kicks have all been poor.

YouTube and NZ had Piney and co. Glad about that, Australia had cods doing the voice over commentary. Would not have enjoyed that.

And we finish with nothing to show for our season. How deflating.

Wootten has had the best season of his career and a number of the young guys have shown how good our academy is.

Sadly our poor set plays at both ends of the park have cost us the league and the playoffs.

Could well be the last we see of Kosta, Kraev, Zawada, Old, Surman and Paulsen.

To be honest I thought all week MV would sneak this one but we gave it a good shot and the Nix will have hopefully turned a lot of bandwagoners into actual fans next season.

Exciting stuff but disappointing. Wonder how long it will be before we get so close to some actual silverware.

Obviously delighted to be in this position to grieve a extra time loss in the semi final. But this one hurt particularly because this team is fully capable of winning it all. It wasn't luck and that last minute goal is one of the best feelings I have had felt. Unfortunately equalling the worst. We need to back up next season and not pull a Wahs.

Unfortunately, the boys missed a penalty, a virtually open goal, and hit the upright.

3-1 in the first 90 on a different day :(

We’re so crap at corners. We won 11-3 on corners, but their winner came from one.

We had very few decent shots on goal, too. I can only think of two worth bothering about, both from Zawada and one was the last corner we had.

Hard to fault Surman after his season. But think he’s at fault there, sadly.

Still an out of this world hit from Traore decided it imo. Feels better than the loss to CCM.

I am so unbelievely proud of the team - what a season, never give up attitute!
On another day we would have easily won that - had the better chances, didn't always have the rub of the green/whistle.
I love Football - but golly she is a cruel mistress sometimes.
The emergence of talent this year of future all whites is so very exciting.
C'mon the nix!

Absolutely gutted. MV go to their eight grand final. Nix still not there after seventeen years. Still immensely proud of our team. To be honest I wouldn’t have fancied our chances in a penalty shootout but overall I thought we were the better team. We certainly had more scoring chances. I hope we can build on this season and go for it next season.
