Seriously thinking about this. Might just be the right time to bugger off for a day or two. Don't have any clubs tho.

Just noted your 'using wood' comment...class
Do caddies really advise what clubs to use? Coz surely the players (meaning actual golfers) know what they are doing. Or is it a case of caddy = brains, golfer = brawn?

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

Only need 3 clubs at Makara. Putter, Pitching Wedge and a long iron (3 or 4).  I'm sure you can manage it.

I'll need a caddie to carry those clubs while drinking the scotch

Am very tempted. Meant to be saving for that overseas trip BUT it's all for a great cause!
Will have to see if I can wangle the $$ out of the boss!

I'm pleased to announce that Super Leo's Cafe is a sponsor.  Naturally he is sponsoring the 7th hole.

So I am now offering my caddy services to the general public as Vince is (most unfortunately) not playing.

Will send more details later in the week.

Looks like we will be having a BBQ so might have tee off a bit later to accommodate that.  Plus we should be having a bar there too.

From memory, they looked like they had about 30 odd.  So reckon we should be sweet if there is one set between two.

Impressive! May well have to take a trip out there myself to check out what sweet buys they have. I've heard they've got alot of vinyl, not that good for playing golf but good to have none the less!

Right, an update.

All systems are go.  We have 8 confirmed sponsors (see first post) and 1 more in the pipelines.
We have also had number of items donated to use as prizes or to raffle off:
- 2 bottles of whisky from Coolmoves
- Adidas bag, shoes, and other gear from RYOS.
- Hopefully some other stuff to come.

DB Breweries have come to the party and donated 9 dozen export 33 beers for the day.  We will  be selling this (probably illegally) out of the community hall from around midday. So every dollar raised from the bar will be donated to the cause.

The BBQ will be running from midday so if you have a late tee off time, you are more than welcome to come down whenever you like for a yarn and a beer.

For those that RSVP'd I shall be sending out an email with your tee off time later tonight hopefully.  Tee off times start range between 1pm and 3pm.

Any questions?
