There's no refresh in the iPhone app at the moment, it needs to be added.

And I agree that we need quoting, it's right to the top of the list of things to add in the next set of updates.

@Blew.2: if you want to direct a reply at someone while in the app use @ just like this. Any quoting you read in the app was actually done by someone using a browser.

Basically, the major feature is convenience. If you're out and about (at the game, at the pub etc), it's a hell of a lot easier to browse and post to the forums on the app than it is to load up the website and do it through there.

At this stage, the only feature that isn't available on the website is the FeverCard, but that list will expand in future updates as we add some things that we have got planed.

Love it. Way easier to use than through the old way

Realise the iPhone App is missing a couple things... Don't worry, they're coming (along with plenty more). At the end of the day it's fun to make something that people enjoy. So do keep up the kind words - it definitely encourages Patrick and I to stay up late after day jobs/uni and code some more!

Also, if you want a giggle... we're currently the Top Paid App (Sports, NZ Store) beating out the All Blacks official app!

Good work Nik and Paddy! Know how much work you two have put into getting the apps up and running so $5 is a small price for us to pay.

Reiterating what Nik said, coming here and seeing all the awesome things you are saying about the apps are definitely going to make it easier to find the time and motivation to work on updates to the app, so thanks everyone! It really does mean a lot to know that all the work we put in paid off and the you guys are loving the apps.

I think it is fantastic first version. More features will come, bugs get fixed...

How many other fan clubs have their own app? I think we are pretty spoiled.

Just got the app. Great so far. I agree with the earlier comments that if it had the podcasts on it as well then it would be fantastic. Not sure if its a possibility, but being able to download a poddy (I generally listen to it on the bus when going to work so download it on another app the night before to save on mobile data) would be aces

Yeah the YF exec were a bit elitist in the early days, swanning around like fancy dans, kissing all the girls, (something's never change), wearing those tight jeans. Picture Hard News as a young Mick Jagger, Feverish as a Young Benny Hill. The world was at their feet.

Nowadays things are different. Hard News, Feverish, Smithy, 2ndBest, Stinky-stink, Jap-Eye and The Clunge, the mighty YF leadership are a little washed up, think Michael Caine at the end of Alfie,  Brando in On the Waterfront. Still struggling? Well think Channing Tatum as Blanket Man.

So like a wife standing by the front door waiting for the return of her errant husband from a 5 day bender, she will forgive him. Why? Because deep down he's her man. loveable rogue, though a fool and no longer handsome. But he's her fool.

This is the relationship of the YF Nix fan to the YF exec. You have to move on. The heady joys they've given us, the earth-shattering pleasures, the heavenly bliss, you can and must forgive them their earlier swaggering ways.

I'm sorry you feel you were ignored, but lets support the YF as the positives far out way the negatives.  I've just paid my $5 for the app and very nice it is too.

Downloaded the app a couple nights ago.

At first I thought the price was a bit more than I expected, but it is going towards a good cause. Best feature is the access to the forums via your mobile/tablet, but comes with some pretty good smaller features such as the discounts and news updates.

Overall, worth the 4 bucks and a must have for all Feverites, especially the ones here in Oz!

My first post from the new app. Love it

I too have been here since day 1 and attended all 81 "Home" A League games. Whoopie. So a couple of guys can do an App which I can't do (Jealous) and I haven't downloaded it yet. But rather than complain and calling everyone the "C" word, rejoice and be happy that some people had the initiative and skills to create one. Sorry Ballane but you sound extremely bitter when there is no need to be. I'm still trying to get my head around Cellphone technology too. and if I can't, I'll just ask someone on here for help.

Is there emoticons on the app?

Think the default Apple emoticons should work, but there's nothing on Android to do that.

I bought the app even though my iPod is too old to handle it.

So far, it is meeting my expectations (it doesn't work)

... iTunes won't even copy it across ...

But I am happy to have given a donation to the Fever!
