Hey boys, links to external sites or emails don't seem to work here in iOS.

Didn't pick that up during testing.

Hey team

I just released an update to the Play Store for the Android app, which should fix some of the crashes that have been happening. It'll also let you play YouTube videos that have been embedded in posts right from within the app. It'll start showing up on your devices later this afternoon.

Also, if you have been using the app and enjoying it, please consider heading over to the respective store for your device and leaving us a review. It'll help us get some more exposure on the App and Play stores, and maybe even become one of their "featured" apps for a day.

I am posting from the newly purchased app!

Only now realised fever card is another $10! Suppose my 2008 version is looking a little shabby now.

Up to us now to make the fevercard worth it...

We will.

Promise we won't cannibalise deals you already get to bully you into the fevercard.

I would like it if the app would let me go to the latest post in a thread?

Maybe it can but I don't know how?

I still haven't paid for mine. Debit card is in debt but let me download anyway. Would you guys still get paid for that?

If you're on Android Steve-O, hit that refresh button at the top and it'll take you to the latest post. It's coming to iOS soon.

AJ - yes we still get paid.

On iOS if you tap on the time at the top when you are in a thread it scrolls up to the top

Permalink Permalink

I don't think it'll do that if there at lots of old posts, it'll just take you to the "50 newer posts" button.

A workaround for now would be to open the thread, go back to the topics list, and open the thread again which will take you to the latest post.

It scrolls to the top as much as it can, but if there's a thread with 100 new posts for example, you still need to go through and click on '100 newer posts' and then 70 newer posts and so on till you get to the last post.

True true, lets hope the refresh button update comes soon then.

The iOS app is a bit of a data hog on mobile data. Loading up a sub forum used like 1MB, then the all whites match thread was like 7MB, and since it reloads every time you reopen a thread, I can see why my data took a hit when I was making my way to Napier at labour weekend.

Ah thought it was the app doing that. My data ran out so quickly.

So, I purchased the Android App just after it was released. And I'm quite happy about that...

...since then I have stopped using an Android Phone, and started using a HTC 8X windows phone (which btw. I have been very surprised by, it is excellent...)

So, now I don't use the app, I just use the browser on my windows phone.

But it means I have a bunch of questions:

  1. If/when I get another Android phone, having already purchased the app, is the app transferable somehow? Or would I need to pay a second time?
  2. If the fever card is only available to people with the app (is that the case? Haven't really kept my finger ont he pulse of this part?) since I have paid for the app but don't have the ability to use it anymore, can I get the new fever card? If so how?
  3. Is there an update on any plans (are there any) for a windows phone store version of the app?

As I said at the start of this post, I am actually more than happy to have contributed the $4.19, and I'm, not bitching about the situation I am in at all. I am just curious... I'd hate to not ask, and then find out in a year I was missing out simply because I didn't know.

If you purchase the Android app, you'll be able to download it on any device that has been registered with the same Google account.

No plans for a Windows Phone version at this stage sorry.

I seem to be chomping through mobile data recently. Is the app a big data user?

Just quietly, the Android app is on special for $0.99 for the next few hours to celebrate Fever Friday. It'll revert back to full price very soon, so get in quick!

Who cares? The original fee is quite good anyway. Gonna grab it when I get home Patrick and stick it on the Tab3

Yep, looks fine. Unsurprisingly I still use chrome and the website for the most part. But I do like the app. Might bring this next Sunday for you to see.

Yeah I find I use the browser website on my phone a bit for active topics etc.

But if I want to look something up (eg trophymanager) or I'm only really looking at a specific thread, I use the app.

Is quite interesting to know how people use it.

I'm like Tegal a bit. I'm an active topics junkie. So I've got a shortcut to active topics on my phone, but then I prefer the app for reading and replying.

Noticed on new phone new/updated topics aren't highlighted like they were on my S3... a KitKat thing perhaps?

Surge - make sure you've signed in on your new phone. If it still doesn't show, let me know, but I'm pretty sure it's just that you haven't logged in yet.

A positive is that the app doesn't show some of the sig pics which in some cases are quite large.
