It's been going since 7pm and is still going. Big ups to the YF organisers and fans.

I've put my plug in already (2nd caller).

Credit where credit is due (lol cliches).

Remember it wasn't that long ago that I didn't follow football and never flew to sporting fixtures!

Someone needs to sign Murray up here and email him his login details.

Or if someone at YF HQ PMs me his account login details I can hand them to him personally this weekend when he comes down for a golf tournament LOL

Radio.... most of what I heard was 'why doesn't rugby have this passion' stuff but some good callers.

Miles was fantastic the afternoon talking about how engaged so many non-football people all over the country were by yesterday.  Even had a sly crack at his employers for not putting it on ZB when the cricket was tied to Radio SPort.

I didn't get a chance to tell Murray that I'm one of the disillusioned rugby followers (haven't been to Carisbrook for at least 5 years for an Otago rugby game) when I was a regular attendee before then.

It helps that your team is winning but it's still saying something when I won't attend games at home but I will travel to your city to see one.

Very common theme. Work mate went to both Wgtn matches - Cake Tin on Saturday and RoF on Sunday.

No comparison (his words) and he is booking his tickets for 7 March.

Didn't listen to Deaker but I suppose the football culture is much more heart on the sleeve than the stoic rugby ethos (at least in this part of the world), which is why the fans aren't afraid to "express" themselves in song, chants and abuse!

While it obviously helps if you know the rules of the game, the concept of football makes it pretty easy to follow:

score more goals than opponents
goalies only can use hands
play the ball not the player
Nix never lose at RoF
Aussies always cheat

"Phoenix till they lose"

Heard you Ahmad and the Yellow Fever love fest. Oh how I remember the day against Sydney, wouldn't have known Smeltzy if I had fallen over him, and yet 60 minutes in we sung "We didn't think we would be this good"

Just look how far we've come!

My first phoenix memory was the pre-season game against Melbourne at Olympic Park where Daniel scored a great goal to give us the 2-1 win

We were playing in those Star  Trek-esque tops

It's hard to listen to. Talk about amateur hour!

Triathlon athletes are healthy. Really...

And obviously totally ignorant of India.

Hey look if you aren't going to call it soccer then at least tell your football buddies that run clubs not to call it soccer (and put up signs calling for soccer players).

Football, Deaker, Soccer and Murray are 4 words that do not belong in the same sentence. He's been bagging on NZ football for years, more than happy to label the us as, and i quote, "a joke" but too ignorant and stupid to know anything about the game, or to be able to offer any educated opinion, insight, advise and/or suggestions. Nothing productive from him whatsoever. His opinions on football are invalid.

Least hes trying now. Even if it reeks of bandwagon.

I can remember the Kingz third season (the Sky Sponsored cock-up) and at the start of the season he was all about how it was great news that they had imported all these players and New Zealanders weren't up to it.

About three months later when it had gone horribly wrong he was ranting about there weren't enough kiwi's in the squad and that was why it had gone wrong.

Disgraceful.

And this year he admitted to never having watched a full game of football ever (while AWs were on his show looking shocked),yet he is on sky and the radio making ridiculous comments like that.

Allegedly

Ah well, there's no such thing as bad publicity right?

Yellow Fever got a well deserved nationwide pat on the back.
