Alright. It was discussed on another thread.
But Im making this to make it a bit more obvious as to what we are after.

For those who are particular about what they wear. wear the normal (To avoid JINX)

For others who aren't so superstitious, wear anything YELLOW.
Rain jackets. washing up gloves. Get creative with it.
Anything to show your support for the boys and help them push for a spot in the grand Final.

So tell people at work, at school, at home and even in the street.

Here is the Facebook group -
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=329910396439&ref=nf

Also. If everyone can try their best to get yellow and black streamers, balloons and confetti, bring it along and throw it up when the teams walk out of the tunnel and onto the pitch.
Confetti is easy. Just cut up yellow and black paper into little pieces.
Old yellow pages are a good start.

ps. RYOS and the Wellington Phoenix store are great places to start.

Sorry dont fully understand just why its meant to be a yellow out.Yes we may be yellow fever, however the club colours are yellow and black so surely it should be either of those.

Your saying get creative and in another thread there have been fears people are coming thinking its just a party and costumes are acceptable

Once again sorry FKN NO,this game is far more than that and its beginning to appear that many are more interested in the party than what this game means.
It means those shirts off in a howling southerly that gutted feeling after conceding a late equaliser and those losses are finally hopefully going to be put in the past.

So dress up and party me im getting more nervous the closer it gets and getting more pissed off that many seem to be more interested in the pary and what they are going to wear.

GET YOUR SHIRTS OFF FOR THE BOYS

Yellow is the color I chose because its different.
The All Blacks and Warriors have done Black outs before.

I dont want a party either. But for lots of people going to this game it will be their first time. They won't have the same worries views that we will on the game.
I think that if they can have a bit of fun and dress up it may encourage them to come back next time.Stefan2010-02-25 20:33:53

+1 Ballane.  I understand the sentiment and the desire to recreate the All Whites atmosphere but no.  However what about something with yellow cards as the players come out.  Maybe a message on them like FFA gives us our $1.5 million back!

Because giving each person in the stadium would be impractical and would cost the club or the Fever money.
Plus not every person will understand that reference.Stefan2010-02-25 20:36:16

Look, this game means a whole lot more than dressing up in a yellow raincoat for all of us who post on here, however for the 20,000 who are NOT regulars, it is more of an 'event' and the fact of the matter is that they DO care less about the football and the result than the hardcore fans.

It's a fact, so build a bridge, and get over it.

We can watch the game and act exactly as we normally do, and the others can enjoy themselves in whatever way they choose to.

Stefan, I think you have your irony button switched off.

We could make confetti by just getting some black paper and yellow paper, ripping it up into small pieces, and voila! Confetti as the team walks onto the field!

Yeah, sorry. Got a bit flustered by having a fun idea for people being shot down.

How about having a Phoenix shirt day.  At least then the club would make some money.  The whole family will be kitted out in Fever or Phoenix gear next Sunday.

At $130 per shirt I doubt that's going to happen.

Great idea - other than me wearing my black Nix polo, my wife wearing her white Nix top and my father wearing his grey Nix jacket we're right behind you.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Nothing wrong with a bit of passion Stefan.  Remember though its a two week build up, and at this pace I think some of us will just spontaneously combust.  Perhaps old fashioned Eastern European water cannon hosing the crowd before the game will cool us down a wee bit.  Painted yellow of course.  The cannons not the water, that would be taking the p***.

I like it Steve-O. Does it come with a sad face which we could turn round and show when the ref makes another crap decison.  It could be like America's got talent.

A beach ball is a bit different from  a balloon!

Personally I think a mass release of balloons at kick off or whenever would be pretty sweet

when they come out of the tunnel is usually effective. Especially considering we are next to the tunnel.

Should I change the title then?

Yes, I have seen this done at cup finals and the likes. Lots of balloons held in some sort of 'pen' behind each goal, and then when the teams come out the balloons are released. Always makes me feel I am at a 'big' game

Just as long as you can blow them up inside the stadium and before they walk out.

Wearing yellow is still the idea...these things are just extras for more yellowness! Thus, I think 'Yellow Out' is still fine.

At the canes game the other week they gave out yellow flags to the kids. This looked pretty cool I have to say. Not that we have to steal ideas of them, but if it came down to this or thundersticks I know which I'd be preferring. Basically anything but thundersticks tbh.

People that work in hazardous work environments should come along in uniform:

Kinda the Yellow equivalent of the "boiler suits" last November.
