We used to have forum codes, but I cant see them anymore.

When you click on a link in a post it doesn't open in a new window and have to click back to return to YF

Hold down control and click, or press your 3rd mouse button (the scrolly wheel in the middle) and it opens in a new window.

I logged in the other day but when I clicked on Forum it logged me out and didn't have the latest posts.  Any ideas?

Oceanic 6 seems to have inadvertantly stumbled upon my problem - accidental double posts. Is there no way to delete them or am I just blind?

Gotta say I'm confused by the choose avatar process.

I click the browse link, choose my avatar from my files then save but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

I can't even remember what my last avatar was on the old forum or how I uploaded so I thought I'd go with something from my pic files.

I haven't really been following this thread and don't want to search through the whole thing.

I've noticed some others mention the new smileys as being weird and a little unfriendly looking.

Will the smileys be updated/changed in the future? No rush as I'm sure that judging from the red lines of code at the top of many pages that there is still plenty of stuff to be done.

Just curious as to whether it is on the agenda for the future?

There will probably be new ones when the new forum system is implemented.

Able to get on for the first time in ages.Is what we have at the moment as good as its going to get.Im not able to use google chrome on a regular basis and if internet explorer isnt going to work then sadly it appears as i will miss my fix as im throughly sick of getting a constant stream of error messages.

It would have to be one of the quietest off seasons the forums have had.

New forum undewrway.  More permanent resolutions under consideration.

Trouble is we're all busy (including our new dev team) and have to fit it around work, whanau and football.

It will get better Ballane.  Hoping the forums will get put on a different platform soon, and we have a plan for something else before the A-league season kicks off.

Home come someone called "anonymous" can still post without being an active member and spam a whole bunch of threads??  I miss the delete post button.

Permalink Permalink

They were not Anonymous when they posted, they set up an account which was deleted almost immediatly after the spam posts. Once their account and spam posts were deleted, they showed up in the active topics as Anonymous.

I see the posts were deleted, but they are still show up as the last post in a number of threads.  The old forum used to delete the spam posts and restore the order of most recent actual user posts.  There are quite a few in the All Whites & Other national team sections.

Selfish B**tard, you're spending far too much time wearing lycra, sweating & generally not being a lay-about.

Big News wouldn't have treated us like this, Skinny News has his priorities all skew whiff.

Can someone please fix up the spam error that keeps appearing at the top of the page:

Pretty sure for anyone new who wants to have a look here without logging in they would be gone after about 30 seconds because it's a shambles if you aren't logged in. The views and new user numbers must have taken a hit.

Jesus wept, this forum is a piece of shit.

One minute I'm logged in, the next minute I'm not. Then I'm looking at last month's news. And to top it all off the standard of discussion is just as bad as it ever was.

Is the whole off-season going to be like this?

Mods take control!

I think the moaning is more because we had a perfectly functional (and bloody brilliant) website before. But now we just have a broken one with no functionality

Having previously been a major contributor to much of the dribble we chat about over off season maybe the slowdown hasn't necessarily been a bad thing but must admit I've only been visiting bout once a month and also finding these new forums rather user unfriendly. takes ages to load and not as searachable... Props to the guys who've been working hard on fixing things and hopefully we'll all come back and eat our words later in the year
