To be honest - where else could they have done it? Tasmania? New Zealand?
The harsh truth is, without Sydney and Melbourne there wouldn't be an A-League.

Brisbane and Adelaide are crying out for one too.

I thought first two choices were obviously Melbourne & Sydney, but West Sydney as the third seems a bit silly, if West Sydney fans really wanted to be there surely they can head to the Sydney one. I would've picked as Patrick said Brisbane or Adelaide for the third.

It's not silly at all - Western Sydney is probably the most contested "footballing" area in the country at the moment, NRL and now GWS and WSW... if they're not active there they'll lose.

In comparison; Brisbane and Adelaide are much less so. AFL does exactly the same thing, and the NRL... well, who knows what they're doing but they're copping a hiding big time - and recent events certainly aren't going to help them. I'd hate to be the CE of the Panthers if what we hear about doping is true...

Yeah i dont see it being too long until WSW become the big guns in the League. In 2-3 seasons time we could have someone wanting to take it off FFA's hands and build it to be massive. Then they could do the same thing and expand with another couple of clubs in the future
