YF's 2007 scholar winner, Daniel Finlay from Hamiltron, is training with the Phoenix for the whole of next week.
We have also had Umbro kit him out - so big ups to them!

Big ups to the Nix for having him (Tony you're a legend) - and for our own Smithy for sorting it.
Thanks to my folks to for putting Daniel and Shane up for the week
We will make sure we get some pics (hopefully with the Yellow Fever car that they will be using).

It sounds like Daniel is very excited - and why wouldn't he be!

From me a huge thanks to Ricki, Tony, Mal and John at the Phoenix for swinging in behind this concept.
And a massive thanks to Glenn at Umbro for his endless enthusiasm for the idea.
If you're buying stuff ever don't forget to buy from those who support the Fever!!

Have had the pleasure of chatting to Daniel on a couple of occasions - at YF Awards night and up at the NZFC final when he joined the support for Team Welli - and he's a top lad. Lives and breathes football and is very grateful to YF for all they have done for him.
This is a great opportunity for a talented young footballer so huge praise to all that have helped to make it happen.
Living the dream.....

Shame he got bobsledded in a school game on Saturday so he's not 100% but he's going to give it all he's got this week.
If you get a chance to pop along to training when it fines up later in the week go and say hello to him (and his father who is a regular forumite) afterwards.

He's just there making up the numbers.
Think he may have been back this morning. Apparently they have a few of the Coll. lads taking turns.

Hard News is onto it. Wellington College supplies 1st XI players to make up the numbers for 11 vs 11 as and when required.
Good player though Lewis. Stood out in the College's Chatham Cup preliminary round win over Seatoun at McAlister Park.
