Yellow Fever Biggest Collect!

The good people at the TAB are coming to the party in a big way this season as well.

We're launching a comp with them. Put a bet on the A-League - any bet, any amount, a multi, whatever you like - and the biggest collect (the biggest margin that comes in) in October and November will win a mint prize - probably lunch with some players, a bar tab, and some more gambling money. So if you can stack up a nine way multi between now and October and it comes off - you'll win from us too!

To win - take a picture of your winning betting ticket (you'll have to produce the ticket to win our prize) and post it on our Facey page or here in this forum thread.

Terms and Conditions blah blah
This competition is run by Yellow Fever (YF). To enter you must post a photo of a unique, legitimate, valid, TAB bet ticket, showing a bet placed on the 2012-13 Hyundai A-League, either on our YF Facebook page or in the YF forums. The wager shown on the bet ticket must have been determined prior to the end of the competition.
To be eligible for entry, you must reside in New Zealand and be over 18 years of age. You may not enter on behalf of anyone else. You may enter as many times as you like. Each valid entry gives you one chance to win.
This competition begins on 8 October and ends at 4pm on 30 November 2012.
The major prize winner will be the person who posts (and can produce a TAB betting ticket for) the biggest winning margin by percentage of the amount bet. Ie: a $5 bet to win $450 will win the competition over a $100 bet to win $1,000.
A consolation prize winner will be drawn randomly from all valid entries.
We will contact the winners by Facebook or email. If we can't get in touch with a winner within 2 hours, we will draw another winner. For the major prize winner we will work down through the winning margins until we can contact a winner. For the consolation prize winner we will continue to draw random winners until we can contact one.
The major prize winner wins lunch with some Wellington Phoenix FC players. A $250 bar tab and a $200 betting voucher from the TAB.
The consolation prize winner wins a $100 betting voucher from the TAB.

Get into it - quite a short turnaround before we draw this (in about 5 weeks) so a pretty good chance to win if you enter!

Note that the official start date is a couple of weeks ago, so you can drag out some of those bets you've already placed.

Cool.

Only issue is that the biggest winner has already won money and they now get an awesome prize too.

Wonder if you could have the nearly biggest win? Like the bet that would have returned the most if it wasnt for that last minute equalizer or last-minute injury.. I guess that would be harder to monitor and would require a longer time period, but at least the losers can now be winners!

Would a screenshot of an online account be valid?

Do you need a hug? You're a winner in my eyes CS. Sincerely, a creepy stalker friend of yours.

I only use tab.co.nz to bet, so hopefully it does count.

e.g. Would something like this be OK?  (close but no cigar!)

Yeah News is onto it - as long as it's an actual bet which we can identify, and you meet all the other terms (over 18, in NZ etc etc) then you're sweet.

Random consolation prize draw for $100 betting voucher to give those whose bets don't come in the chance to win something.

3. If your ball comes among watter, or any wattery filth, you are at liberty to take out your ball and bringing it behind the hazard and you may play it with any club and allow your adversary a stroke for so getting out your ball.

4. If your balls be found anywhere touching one another you are to lift the first ball till you play the last.

5. If you should lose your ball, by its being taken up, or any other way, you are to drop another ball from the lost position and allow your adversary a stroke for the misfortune

Could I have  a multi which includes the a league but other sports or football leagues as well?

It says "a bet" so I assume multis including other sports/competitions are ok as long as it contains an A league bet. Unless that is an unintended typo.

Does anyone know how to get a decent screenshot of a single bet online? I can only find the screen which lists all my bets, and doesn't have any specific information other than the time, what bet option it was (e.g. draw) and the return.

The way I did it was to take a screenshot at the time the bet was made and it shows you your 'ticket'.  Wouldn't know how to do it after the fact.

Yeah, I'll do that from now on. Thanks.

There used to be a way to look at your activity but my account never has any money in it so I can't remember how.

Here we go, let's turn $5 into $150.

Turns out you can only place 10 bets at a time on a multi

I reckon Milan are gonna let ya down + spurs away in Euro league will probably draw

I've only seen Inter Milan play once (in the Super Cup earlier this year) and they were pretty impressive, wouldn't have a clue who they're playing or what shape they're in, but figured I'd give it a go.

I was meaning AC, they have been shocking! But who knows! Good luck

I like the idea of people posting their multis pre matches so we can live through the highs and lows with them.

Think Bayer Leverkusen too, Austrians get really fired up for German opposition.

If all 4 come in the multi is worth $41.20

Odds are there will be a draw in there somewhere michaelme! It's the problem with doing multis on football,3 possible results instead of 2.

Yeah, I always wondered why you can't bet on 2 of the 3 possible outcomes in a game here, it's common in Europe. Lesser odds, but makes multies much more attractive.

TAB offers double chance odds on EPL & A-League games. And depending on who you want, the goal start option on Championship games can also be used for covering 2 options.

My biggest win was at odds of $6, when I bet on a draw during the Nix vs Heart game at half-time. If no-one beats it I will try to get a screenshot or something of it.

aitkenmike's bet got me wondering something. He is covering getting 3/4, and 4/4 correct with his bet.

If he gets 3/4 right he gets a return, would that be a valid entry into the competition? If it was a valid entry, would it be based on the $1 he has on the treble leg that comes in, or the $5 for the total bet?

If he gets 4/4, he gets $111 back. Would the entry be his $5 returning $111 for the total bet or just the $1 bet on the quad leg that is returning $41.20?
