Following on from the success of Tony P's slot last week, Ricki Herbert will be in studio with Daniel McHardy on Newstalk ZB between 1-2pm this Saturday to answer your questions.

You can either call 472-1035 to ask the question on the air, or post a question or questions here and we'll get through as many as we can.

Where are we looking at for youth players next season?
Just NZ? Or Auz as well?
Would you consider a young GK?

I can only recall one Nix goal scored from a set play this season.  Do you see this as a problem to be adressed during preseason.

Ricki, would you be interested on taking on Feverish in a Charity "Boat Race"?

Do you agree with Aurelio Vidmar's comments about Adelaide?

Your dubious memory, or set pieces?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Manifestly unfair.  Absolutely no contest.

What would you say have been your most important learnings or lessons over the last 2 years as a full time professional coach ?

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Do you have any words for members of the Yellow Fever who were calling for you head after round five?

Like "sorry" (for the sh*t start to the season) ?

I'm sure he'd avoid the question and thank the others for their faith, a good follow up would be (since I'm sure the start of the season would have been mentioned somewhere) Is what have you learnt from that and how do you plan to keep momentum going from the pre-season into the season proper next year?

How do you rate the rest of the coaching staff? Do you think the Phoenix will be hiring new coaches?

Because he's likely to say: actually, funny you should ask, I think they're all sh1t.

What about some questions without pre-meditated answers...

Why have u not signed Jeremy Brockie? is it a concern that young nz players may end up playing for other a-league clubs and not the phoenix

Looking at the squad you assembled, other than Smeltz where did you think the goals were going to come from?

I can't read his mind and don't really know if we are going to hire new staff. For example last year we hired a new fitness coach. Obviously Ricky felt that the boys needed it.
Who's to say that he won't hire a new goalkeeper coach or say, somebody to coach attacking play or set pieces. I think we need it.

The stick guys, that's the problem in this forum.

I would have thought it more because the previous Fitness coach, Paul Emanuel, left the club!!!

sorry I'm not in the loop like some of you guys and don't exactly know how many times O'Sullivan takes a dump everyday.

I just wondered if anything is going to change in regards to the coaching staff.

f**king hell you guys belong in primary school.

Last season, the team did not play with such an attacking mindset as they did in 07-08.
Was this a deliberate decision on your part?

Do you think it might have influenced the lower crowd numbers?

If it was your decision, do you plan to play with a similar mindset next season?

So is it just the middle bit you want him asked? Or do you want the whole thing read out?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

What was your high & low points of the season, and is there anything, looking back, that you wish you had of done differently?

The story we got when Stu Jacobs was let go was that you were to take on more responsibility as a sole coach, yet Brian Turner came on board. Who had the change of heart and why?

Calm down.

Your question was: Ricki, what do you think of your coaching staff?

Or words to that effect.

Which is ludicrous, even if you don't know who any of them are.  They're his staff, so of course he's not going to slag them on the radio - at least not if he's got an ounce of professionalism about him.

O'Sullivan, incidentally, takes his dumps only once a week because he's not full of sh1t...

Boom boom.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

NZPower - you cant throw your toys for someone posting about obvious deficiences in your questions - so long as they are nice about it (which actually would be rare for Smithy)
