From watching the Matildas on Football Australia youtube a number of times, they have way harder ball runner players. At times brutally direct cut through to goal compared to the Ferns. Other than Sam Kerr, got from back forward, Carpenter, Catley, Cooney Cross, Foord, Raso.
Ferns must try to develop these direct cutting runners soon. Seem a bit directionless now in comparison vs good teams. Need to be more athletic. Best I've seen for any NZ team is Brooke Nunn with the Phoenix, so not a local.
