Going to be a long afternoon isn't it.  Down one nil already thanks to a penalty.

The ref was a bit generous with the drop ball for the second goal I thought.

AU should also note rules and regulations on undergarments.  #12 and #19 wearing white long sleeved undergarments under their gold shirts (or did NZF send out a memo relaxing this at one point)

On the latter statement you deserve a Dull Mens club nomination

Ironically I’ll have to watch the highlights after being so caught up in the game, but whatever mistakes we made and chances we missed I’m still proud of the girls for playing in our first ever final.

Disappointed it didn’t go our way of course, but United are a damn good side who deserved the win. And getting to shake hands with a few of the players afterwards even though you could see the disappointment on their own faces is what being a supporter is all about.

Next year for victory!

However you should note that it is written into the laws of the game (from Law 4)...

... I am fairly sure I have seen a memo relaxing this for community football, but at the top level I would expect this to be enforced.

Then again at top level I'd expect them to do a better job painting over the rugby markings on the field as well
