Oh dear, that's terrible.  I doubt we will see her again.

Yes poor girl, obviously a biomechanical predisposition to knee injuries 😢

I had the same outcome as her and recovered and am just as active (football, snowboarding etc) as I was in my early 20s. I think she'll be fine long term. I do not foresee a Henry Hamilton or Ryan Thomas here.

Good luck Marisa.

Sad news. Hopefully she's fully able to recover over the next 12 months.

Hoping that it is genuinely mutual & she isn't worse off because of it cuz I saw someone questioning whether we have done her dirty by releasing her from a contract due to injury.

Yes hopefully it was mutual. I mean you compare it to Lily Alfeld, who once it was clear her injury was long term, the Nix basically created an off field job for her at the club.

Speaking of which I presume Alfeld's career is basically over at 29?
The Nix wouldn't have signed the promising Portuguese keeper if Alfeld was finally returning from injury.

Can only assume that Van de meer has decided to quit football, with a repeat knee injury? Given how the club treated Alfield and kept her on even when it's pretty clear she aint coming back, I can't see them treating anyone else differently.
edit - just seen the announcement from the club, she's gonna continue her studies in Auckland and we'll offer her a new contract next season if her recovery has gone well.
