A timeline thread of Pia Vlok being one of Aotearoa's most exciting emerging footballers (just in case anyone thinks she's popped up out of the blue with what she's doing for the Wellington Phoenix)... pic.twitter.com/yNa2F29N3E
Can shoot off her right and left which is impressive. Will only get faster and stronger which is scary considering she already does well in both of these areas.
She will move on to bigger things at the end of this year, and if not almost certainly at the end of the following season. Too much talent there.

Agree she will move on but not convinced end of this year is the right time. Would prefer to see her gain a bit more experience before making the obvious move onto bigger and better things.
She only needs to look at Clegg and Fraser to see that staying a bit longer in the ALW is no bad thing. That's if NWSL clubs stateside start making approaches.
Year 13 Emma Pijnenberg to Year 9 Pia Vlok, space outside of the box, goal, the 2022 version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqQwv_GzhdY&t=6005s (NZSS 3rd and 4th playoff, St Kents v Baradene)
(also features in the 39th minutes a banger by Olivia Page now of the Newcastle Jets who was unavailable for the Newcastle-Nix game)

Almost identical to the goals she scored this week!
