We ought to be able to wrap this up.
Been too generous,  giving it away.

Brazendale needed for Pijnenburg.
I'd prefer Elliott to Wall, too.

Nunn, Woods, Leon,Vlok and Jale have been great. Barry has too, apart from a couple very wayward passes.

Need to kill this soon.

Who has got the big engine and who’s got 60 minutes?

Seems like we’ve been playing up tempo. She’s made one sub so far?

Even though this win puts the women to 2nd isn't there like 2 other teams 2nd equal?

Most goals scored, least conceded, second on the table (provisionally).

Well done Wahinix!

Jale does a lot of impressive things. And she was a striker/winger before this season??

Wahinix entering uncharted territory on the ladder. Great effort by Adelaide, always looked dangerous and fought to the end. Nunn POTM.

When you thought the table couldn't get any tighter....
Now only 2 points separate 2nd to 9th.

It's a good looking table.   We have a platform to lift off from.

Squad looks good,  Wood is an asset, Nunn is playing exceptionally.
Vlok too.

I feel we haven't replaced Bott, that's our biggest issue I think.

Haven't seen a replay, but from the stand i thought VDM was lucky to not be sent off.

Huge call.

With the table so tight, I suspect this won’t be the last time we squeak through on goal difference…

Barry position is key, and the direction is slightly away from goal. Fine with it

key thing with the table is that your top 3 have 1 or 2 games in hand on 4th and below.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Our game in hand is away to last year's champs CCM.
No easy points there.

So do the men’s successes depend on the women playing first to inspire them?
Nice for us fans to have a better finish to the weekend.

Glad for the win, but sheesh we made it difficult for ourselves and put ourselves under unnecessary pressure far too often.  Most guilty of over hitting & bad passes which we were fortunate Adelaide didn't capitalise on.  Adelaide were much more effective with their passing and always found their person.  On another day we end up on the wrong side of the score.

Good to see Bill Tuiloma and Dan Edwards at the game, always wonder if anyone from the mens team watch the womens game.  Marco Rojas attended a few last season, and of course Siggy is a regular. Michael Mayne was also there.

I agree with Fenix, I'd prefer Elliott over Wall.  I think she hasn't been as good as she was last seasons so I'm suprised Elliott isn't starting more often.  Hopefully we have Main back for the game.

Interesting to see Maynes views.

He's picked Wall and Pijnenburg in recent squads. But not Barry or Jale, whod be in my squads way before those two. So would be Vlok.

Think he was justified in not picking Jale on her previous form in front three positions, but she's doing an awesome job in midfield this year so hopefully in the mix. With Whinham and Fraser both not currently playing and Pijnenberg in ordinary form she should have a good chance?

Had plenty of thoughts on this game but most of all...

Lucía León... what a baller!!! Standout performance today, looked a level above against her former team.

I thought we looked better up front with Vlok in for Main. Vlok is all over the park making an impact. Leon getting better every game also.
Without Bott feels like the defensive midfield is a bit light. We are contesting well but it feels like a real lottery in there at times. really can't afford anymore injuries in that area of the park.
Hope the girls can keep this good momentum going.
Awesome win against a team that are playing well.

Jale has to be in there now. She does it all, got the engine and speed to play box to box, wins the ball on the ground and air, good technician, variety of passes, good spatial awareness.

Vlok was playing attacking mid with Leon and Woods up top. I think Main still gives us something different up top - a bit more finess. Leon and Woods are both physical so quite similar to each other.

Agree re the DCM spot - we don't seem to have the midfield synergy / positioning yet.

Good to see us playing more on the deck yesterday - not sure why we have previously been wanting to put it in the air so much (of course from a corner is different).

yeh. But I think Leon is technically a better player then Main. Leon still getting used to playing in that position also and can probably still improve somewhat.
I like Main better off the bench. When she seems to have more impact with defences tiring.
Good problem to have though. Now also throw Anthony into the mix.

Main has strengths, she wont let you down, but she disappoints me a bit.  She's not a Wood nor a Samba nor a Nunn. Or a Leon, IMO.

Anthony, well, we have yet to see what she can do.

There is also Jerez and Brazendale, and if the coach can make a few of this group click, then we are laughing.

Love Vloks energy and how she gets about the field. But think that in its self is part of the issue. Noticed yesterday often when Vlok switched sides no one took up the space she left and inevitably thats  where Adelaide attacked  and it seemed to cause us issues. It is also compounded if Nunn happens to switch as well. Love the way they are both playing but someone needs to be going to the spaces  to cover for them.

They're already going quite well and if they can tidy up some of the looser ball control and wayward passing even a little bit they'll be very scary indeed!
