We must've had 70% possession and still lost. I thought they played well enough for at least 1 point. Roars goal was jammy and our goalkeeper was obstructed.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Why isn't Tanaka starting.  Perhaps I should have asked at the event the other night.

Our shots are weak, we have no power.  Another weekend goes by with no goals scored.  We've got Victory on Saturday, I'm expecting another loss.

Yeah I wasn't too bothered at the time but gee watching it again on replay, that was very borderline foul

It'll be interesting to see how she goes being fresh off the bench against a tired defence for once

Yup every replay made it looks worse.

It's a lot easier to score a goal when you take out the goalie.

I would have taken a draw if it was offered. And perhaps that would have been a fairer result.

The commentator said there hadn't been a clean sheet in our seven previous meetings but then of course that went out the window.  And we remain winless there.

Yep but it's often deceiving - many of our shots are 2% efforts from outside the box.

Crazy to dominate so much and not even get one decent accurate shot in. They not only converted their chance but also hit the woodwork twice.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

and what's with leaving Zoe McMeeken out of the squad for her 50th appearance, after having her interviewed pre-match about it???? I think that stinks.

I think Id pick some people that look like they may score, or cross it to somehow who can. McMeeken and Main would help in that, and Tanaka too. The crossing from Wall and Elliott was pretty poor - not that we had many people in there .
And all of the shooting was dire

I didnt see it in game, but watching the replay there is clearly contact with the keeper, which effects her ability to meet the cross. VAR might have ruled it out, but then we know what VAR is like.
Temple now happy though.

To be fair I'd chalk that up to an off day for Wall - she has been an effective crosser of the ball (probably our best) this season

Sadly, I don't think it is a foul on the keeper.  The Brisbane attacker has a very good vertical leap and out jumps the keeper to get her head to where our GK is stretching to put her fists.   (look at where their boots are when contact is made with the ball) What didn't help is that we had no player in front of our keeper protecting the space so our keeper is trying to jump vertically from a standing start against a player who has a running leap.

Attackers leap was not vertical, she makes contact with the keeper's body before ball/hands. Foul gets called in any other league.

Now compare it to the foul Macklin Freke got in the mens!

Difference with the Freke foul was that the contact came from his own defender. Not a Nix player in sight of him.
