Kiwi Derby!
Jets sitting in 8th currently, but can't underestimate them. One of only two teams to beat City so far this season, the first time ever for their womens team I believe, and Brown and Lancaster have been in good form.

Next few games against Jets, Perth and CCM are really big - all are within that insane 2nd-9th scramble with us, but I think we go into every game as favourites and with 2+ wins can be looking really confident of finishing well up the table.

If we can win this it'll be the first time the Wahinix have won 3 away games in a season - uncharted territory!

Minor W to share - Betcha kept writing A-League previews only including the two mens teams from NZ, this time after I commented about them forgetting us they amended it and added it to the article!

Also the first time ever we have won 3 away games. So far we have only won 2 in each season.

Jaber is back in the squad for this game. Good to see.
Who misses out?
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I never know how much you can read from past results but Newcastle have had pretty poor form at home this season with only 2 wins from 6 games. I’m hoping the women can break the away record with this one!

A BIG chance for the ladies to do themselves proud.
Meanwhile, Canberra are down 1-0 to the Victory who had one sent off just before half time.

Thought Brazendale might have done enough for a start, hoping for continued improvement from Pijenburg.

See Pijenburg needs to be more assertive trying to win the ball on the ground there - too timid

Thankfully we scored quickly as I thought it was super soft to call the freekick against Woods.

Seems to be absolutely no reason for Woods goal being disallowed. Our team made no infringement that I could see. Nowhere near the keeper.

Poor 'keeper. The other two were tough, but that was soft. Hopefully that gives Pijenburg some confidence.

Am I liking we are winning...of course though I will admit that I do feel a bit bad for the Jets keeper!

The commentators are definitely watching this from a Jets perspective.
