I think if we are looking at playing 'small ball', then we need to look at what Newcastle are doing. They recycle and then control ball much better than we do. They move it out of the ball very well and always seem to have options and be able to find them. 

Do we have "Tits on a bull" on the bench cos they would be more use than Davidson.

Not sure Jabber and Davidson on the same side in defence is best either. Both give away the ball a lot and invite pressure. 

I'm not bullish about this. 
Are we sitting too deep? Not sure what Foster's doing,Fraser has not had her best half. We are thankful to Edward's really.

Game feels a bit like the Brisbane away game: early lead; equaliser from a defensive lapse; poor midfield (Fraser's passing has been woeful). Hopefully we don't concede early in the second half again.

I think Macy needs to be taken off. Not sure for who, but she is just drifting around out there.

 Marking on Boldon has been terrible in this half

We broke up there attack and immediately gave it right back to them, result: goal. 

So frustrating.

This team really is pretty poor defensively. And if they didn't sign cox they'd be completely lost going forward 

generous yellow. if we have VAR, then maybe that gets upgraded. 

A few promising signs with Whinham,but aren't delivering it to Main or Cox.

That save by Edwards deserved to be a match winner. Sadly not to be.

 Agree on the commentary – no references to players being "both footed" or other such drivel.

My expectations must be way too high for this team. I thought that was a poor performance against probably the easiest away game we are going to get (especially considering Newcastles injuries and absences).
I can't see us making top six on this kind of away form, with 3 more away games in a row to come.
I think if we can avoid finishing in the bottom three is perhaps a better target. Or am I being a bit harsh.
Cox looks like a real talent. But for me out tactics / decision making in mid field is just not coming off. Especially once the teams tires. Today most players looked totally fatigued for the last 20 min. That's why the Sub being subbed makes no sense to me.  
I hope Rebecca Lake is ok. Because it felt like we really missed her in the heart of defence today.

We are just so poor without the ball! We are always going to give up 10 or more good chances a game its far too much teams will always score. You are never out of a game when you play us. We have zero game management.

We have gotten better in possession somewhat but there's two sides to the game and we need to address it. If we don't we will miss the playoffs again.

We miss Lake at the back. Also some of our players are to slow and dare i say it not fit enough in transition, teams get past us and up the pitch far too easily.

Hopefully Speckmaier isnt out for too long shes on a good run and our only hope in the remining games in the playoff push.
