According to the A-Leagues account's recent post, this is our Pride Round game
I'm guessing no special shirt this year? In fact based on the club's advertising for this game so far (with no mention whatsoever about it being Pride Round) I'm not even sure they are aware it's been assigned as a pride celebration game!
So they didn't talk to the club before announcing this. Oh dear well that isn't good. They are doing a charity drive for Womens Refuge though so bring your donations to the match. Details on the Nix facebook page.
Our record against CCM needs some work. Played 4, won 0, draw 0 loss 4 goals scored 1 goals against 6
worse to not be prepared and not be able to have the paradfe should we actually win it! this council does nothing quickly so the nix will be making sure the parade can happen should we win. NZ is not like the UK where spontanious open top bus trips occur when your team wins.

Even those open top parades in the UK are usually planned months in advance. Usually every season rival fans get a leak about planning permission being requested with the local government for one and they will start roasting that club for making assumptions that they will win - seen that happen many times!
I hope the wind-seasoned Nix can use the conditions confidently.
Looks like it’ll get worse as the afternoon goes on, so I guess we want to be playing into the wind for the first half and have it behind us for the second?
For those of you in Wellington/Porirua, what are the chances of the game being postponed?!?
The MetService strong wind warning is from 6pm, so unless that changes dramatically I doubt they’ll postpone.
Problem will be if there’s lightning and they have to pause the game in line with APL rules, so fingers crossed we finish on time and everyone can get home before things turn nasty.
Hi Phoenix fans. We're all set for today's game and have just finished printing and folding issue two of our fanzine Playing With Fire 🔥. It's 24 pages and all in colour! Thanks to everyone who has helped us out, especially Lily at the club who told us we can sell inside the ground today. Look out for our cardboard box signs in the front row of the stands.
All money raised from sales goes towards helping kids in Porirua attend scout Jamboree over the Christmas holidays later this year. We also have a few copies of issue one left if you missed us last time.
We’re a dad and kid duo from Porirua, making a fanzine for the Phoenix Women. No budget, no backing — just staples, paint, and a love for the team. Playing With Fire is our first go, and we’re hoping it sparks something fun. Contributions welcome, keep it clean. Follow us on bluesky.
This will be Mackenzie Anthony's first start right?
Also has anyone heard why Jale isn't in the squad today? She was listed as available in the Thursday squad list - has she done something in training between then and now?

In Preistmans pre match presser she said there was one player that needed to complete a fitness test. So she must have taken a knock in training.
Very very poor. Totally wrong approach second half. Didn't use the width, Eliott or Nunn. Finishing with Walker up front is poor. Poor decision taking on shooting, and poor shooting.
We are clueless on how to play with the wind. So many balls played down the field running away for goal kicks.
And shooting over the goal Referees is bad
Tuned back in to see a CC player (who’d bounced back to her feet) craddled lovingly by the referee checking for vital signs after that horrible big bad…. Woods girl competed for the ball with her.
Seems like we’ve been rattled in the second half though.
Full credit to CCM, they defended brilliantly and didn't allow us a single meaningful chance 2nd half. You wonder what might have been if we'd hung on for literally ten more seconds at the end of the first half. I'm sure we would've been a lot less rushed and panicky on attack if it was 1-1. Very disappointing.
