CJ had a pretty gnarly concussion, happened before the open day and am pretty sure she was out for quite a while (Quite a bit of photosensitivity). Haven't had an update in a while regarding it, but will find out more shortly.
The women have a very good chance to get three points on saturday. Big names on the team sheet and a new experienced coach; we should expect to dominate. However this is football, football is a fickle mistress. Cannot wait for kick off.

Ruby Nathan has been playing for Eastern Suburbs in the NWL, I think she had a 2 year contract wth Canberra that had expired. Will do her good to be in environment where she is regularly starting, although probably won't be tested much on Sunday against the Nix Reserves!

Btw really happy all officials are kiwi too, we need to develop them just as much as our players, coaches, managers and administrators.
I think the last time this happened, Chris Beath went overboard to not appear biased and punished the Nix out of a lot of points for whatever real reasons. He later settled and did a decent job.
