We're due a bounce back - last couple of games have be weirdly unproductive where we make most of the play but fall down in front of goal and lose out to smash and grabs through otherwise pretty tight defence. If they can click the whole package up to the front they'll be hard to stop. But on the other hand we've been there before. REALLY hoping for a win and a home semi.

While im nervous i would also be very surprised and disappointed if we dont see a positive response from the team. After seeing the clip of Bev talking to the team after the game. Im sure the team are very aware they have let themselves and their fans down with their last couple of performances, given how PO Macca was after the WSW game would also expect she has had some words.

Job done, it wasn't pretty at times and still have things to work on but I'm so happy for Bev, the team and thank you to Welnix for investing more too.

Nix women's team has been so good to watch this year.
Had a go forward attitude. Sure there were "mistakes" here and there, but same in all teams.

Semi final will be at Porirua wouldnt count on a heap of extra seating. Will only play at Hnry if we get to hold the GF

I can the team love playing there in front of the fans who have turned up all season and made a noise. What so they should move to accomodate those who havnt bothered with the team until finals have come around.
One things probably for sure you will have to get in early as it will probably be sold out.

reading this thread this morning I had thought we played badly. but then I watched the highlights and looked at the stats and we totally owned adelaide.
1 shot on goal from them at the 88th mnute. We should have scored 3 or 4. Both our goaals were from headers on the exact same spot to the exact same corner of the goal.
2nd spot, home semi after a break to refresh and train! Massive chance to make this a finals run and win!

Agree with most of that but still think we look shakey at the back at times and its only other teams inability to punish us that it hasnt cost us much so far. Cant go into the finals giving up chances like we did just after kick off. Cant see City if we face them squandering those sort of chances. We still arnt concedeing a lot of goals but have certainly looked a lot more vulnerable at the back than we did earlier in the season.

Atrocious passing is causing the problems at the back. Elliott and Esson nearly cost us.
Atrocious finishing almost cost us too.
Wood generally did well when she wasn't offside, and was unlucky with one strike that looked goal bound.
But that net behind the goal was in regular use, we are not very clinical.

Well, they have 4 weeks off now!
Except for Vlok, Jale, Pijnenburg, and Esson who will be with the Ferns for the OFC WWC qualifying semi-final next Sunday and final the Wednesday after that.
Fingers crossed they all get through unscathed and don't pick up any injuries.

It's also APL who run the finals series but yes members usually get first crack.

Not sure you’ll get a flavour of the game from highlights tbh. The passing was pretty poor a lot of the time, certainly not as fluid as earlier in the season. But the most important thing is that they pulled through and got the result. And there is no doubting that this was a huge result. Super .
