Why 2:30PM-3:30PM?  Do it an hour or two later, and you get the school kids

St Lukes slightly less congested than Newmarket. Which was mad burgers before the latest big new mall!

Be good to see Longos influence from kickoff. I find it interesting that they say Hope Breslin didn’t pick up a concussion last game… didn’t look that way when she came off - very dazed. I personally wouldnt risk her. I also think she is a good player but needs to lift her work rate. And can we please start finding Main more and quicker on the other wing!

especially as fellow midfielder Macey Fraser didn’t train on Friday after she woke up feeling ill.

Feel sorry for Macey. Always seems to get sick before big events!

Hopefully Alyssa comes on if Macey can't play and plays a blinder!

Poor from Foster giving away that goal. Form slump continues..,

Lack of movement in the final third. We are move the ball up field well enough but then don’t offer options when we get there.
Also the diagonal balls to Elliot, while a good ploy, just aren’t working.

Now we are giving away lots of silly fouls. Not a good look.

Damn that's a huge miss there at the end. We are definitely in this game but silly defensive mistakes are going to cost you against a good team like Perth.

playing well, creating chances. Bit more composure and they can win this game.

Elliot pretty one dimensional, maybe told to always do the same thing. Glad the wingers swapped sides. Same with M Foster always having to come and pass inside. Limits her options big time.

Started the half and ended it with a bit of fire in the belly. In between we were soft and passive.
Lots to sort out at half time.

Elliot is strong, she attacks defenders and puts them under pressure. A great quality to have.

Loving seeing Knott get some goals this season.

She's been criticised pretty heavily but I've loved her since season 1 so this is making me very happy!

Still banging in crosses in the 93rd minute. She's obviously been given license to push forward a little more today and is loving it.

Brilliant second half. Perth had all the ball for the last 20 minutes but really created very little thanks to our nonstop harrying and hassling.

Excellent result. No one to fear this year.

Dont get the criticism of Elliot. What is she? 18? Ok it doesnt always come off, but her natural instinct is to go forward and attack the defence. Exactly what is required, I would have thought. My sense is she’ll go a long way.

Blimey, hardly know what to make of that.
We gave the ball away so much, caused our own troubles way way too often.
I really wasnt convinced we would come back into it second half.
Foster and Barry unusually coughing the ball up,in the first half, amongst others. Still too much of that in the second half too, but my did we turn it around and there was enough moments of great attack and solid defending/keeping to see us home. Knott had a pretty rough game apart from the vital goal. I dont often praise her, but Taylor was good today. Cant fault the commitment and effort that went into that, so its an incredibly pleasing result. Funnily enough, I thought our general shape was better than before, we just made too many silly mistakes. But thats another step in the right direction, and beating top of the league when we far far from perfect. Well done

Another good day at the office for both the men and the women. Good to see Longo providing an assist in her first start and Breslin getting her first Phoenix goal.

Great performance. Thought it might be 'one of those days' when Glory went ahead, but we kept fighting. It's so pleasing to see the ladies fight back from being down, especially given seasons gone by a goal by any opposition was almost a death sentence in terms of coming away with any sort of result.

Great character to get back on equal terms and then get ahead. Character and camaraderie building stuff all round.

Just to finish off, if my quick calculations are correct we're now 6 points clear in the combined Men's & Women's Championship table as well. 😉

COYN! 🔥🦅

I had no idea Grace Jale was that tall, lol

Flea my PotD, absolutely dynamite shift in the midfield. I can't understand what the criticism of Elliot was about. Speckmaier was always a threat. Lovely to watch.

Is Speckmaier the female D.Ball? Runs hard their guts out every game and gets into good spaces but doesn’t quite score the goals.
Very impressed with her shift tonight. Just wish she had more end product.
