Originally scheduled for 6pm, the game has been brought forward by a couple hours. 1pm kick off local time, so might be a hot one for the girls?

we are totally dominating the Roar. Knott taking charge in midfield and creating some good moments.
and that penalty save from Alfield, totally picked where it was going and made the second save perfectly.

Amazing what a goal or two can do for confidence.

watching the ref not call fouls against us and pull out the yellow card at the slightest hint of contract from us is like watching the Nix men in the early days. Utter bias shark.

think Teremoana Walker has played pretty well today, excluding the loss of the ball in the first half, havent missed Barry too much, Winham too has played brilliantly, for someone who was the final player signed to the squad she had more thn earned her place.

How was that a pen?

It wasn’t. Clumsy at best but not a pen.

Pen all day

1st?
2nd?
or both?

I thought the first was a little contentious as the attacker initiated contact out of the box and the ensuing movement caused our defender to fall over and the arm lock that had begun out of the box caused the attacker to come down as well.

Second was clumsy and soft, attacker didnt need to go down, although maybe she was still suffering from the lack of oxygen issue she was having a few minutes before and fainted?

I only saw the second one. Phrases like 'clumsy' and 'didn't need to go down' don't come into decisions. She jumped at her with a raised knee making no attempt for the ball. Will be given all day in any league.

fair, 2nd was one of those which just shouldn't have occurred, cant recall who the defender was, maybe Pritchard, but it was a tired, unnecessary challenge, which shows a little bit of the immaturity of the squad. Nix player could have easily just stood her ground and made it impossible for the roar striker to make the shot.
I think the angst with the call is more around how they managed to lose when two goals ahead. Just frustration from a promising 60 minutes.

Thought both were penalties even if only from the position that if that had been us and they wernt given i would have been spewing. Did think we were on the receiving end of some dubious other calls though. Not sure how Gorry stayed on the pitch she seemed to have a free pass to barrel our players. While ours got cards for nothing.

1st pen contact was outside and then fell into box.
First brisbane goal Kramer was sleeping, second goal stupid loss of the ball in midfield, they general take to many passes and lack of awareness.
All our goals sheer brilliance :-)

Thought Walker played well in that unfamiliar CB role. Her distribution was very good. And Gomez continues to impress, becoming a very important player for us. Hope we can keep her signed up for next season also.
