Confusing promotion for this match by Sky. Their promo ads for the game on Sky channels in recent days have been saying it's on at 9.30pm tonight. Though their Electronic Program Guide has it as the correct 7.30 pm NZT. The good thing though is that Sky have upped their game in promoting the men's and women's Phoenix matches aross all their channels - numerous ads for this weekend's Phoenix matches have been across the History Channel, Arts Channel etc., not just on the various Sports channels. They just ned to get basic details like the time of matches right!

Phoenix take a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute with Macey Fraser sliding through a pass to release Emma Main in on goal unopposed by the Adelaide defence to slot home from the edge of the penalty area.
I don't know what is it today but there seems to be a mania for the Nix players to pass blind to where they think their team mate should be. Consequence: it goes straight to the opposition.
This game is a poor advertisment for phoenix's level of ability. We have had multiple 1v1s with their keeper and blown most of them. All that tells you is that whenever we shoot it's just luck if it goes in rather than skill or composure. I obviously know how that sounds. But the odds should be against it not going in, in those situations. Not the other way.
These dumbass commentators will just say any old shark. The only thing worse than that Nix performance is the verbal diarrhea they keep pumping out.
They annoyed me throughout...but one thing they did get right was Temples premeditated substitutions that he alerted to pre match....thats absolute amateur hour from the coach. It killed us bigtime...he will likely defend it but its dumb dumb coaching. Took off our better players and subbed them for Wignham LOL and the others...he's in la la land. After witnessing tonight i actually worried about this guy and this team. Hopefully a lesson learnt.
The keeper...i said after the first game she looked a liability and i wasn't sold on her....she has clangers in her...it will cost us again. Someone will pop up and say she was player of the month bla bla...but lets be honest she got it for the comeback story. harsh? some will say true.
Foster at left back is so uneducated on football its not funny, she doesnt know where to stand in and out of possession...her positional movements when team is in possession is noticeably terrible shes either standing still or out of position not dropping to help out her cb and get on the ball or be an option.
If Longo can't play 90 mins she shouldnt have been signed. maybe she can maybe coach mistake. But its pro football she should be up for 90.
Katie Taylor not fit enough for middle of the park...game passes her by in possession just another wisnewski really...can pass but cant defend in transition or get back to cover ground. Taylor is a back up CB.
Lake played well. Fraser not her best game but created our goal. Main our MOM.
We just lost to a team that had only won 1 game in their last 20! they put us to the sword second half. Alarm Bells.
Fuming at the coaching. Dare i say it...it was nearly Natalie Lawrence levels.

Main has been underdone all season,I've said it enough times before. She's getting more involved each game,but still she gets taken off. She has thighs like pine tree meads I'm sure she can manage 90 mins.
Mcmeeken on the bench? Robertson as sub? Elliott starting before Breslin? Brown was ill apparently

This is coming from someone that was quite dismissive of women's’ football until I attended the WC and now accept it as different from the men’s game. Dunno if wearing a cap would have helped the keeper see the free kick. Maybe she would have misjudged it anyway, but if it only came down to wearing a cap... looked like a very catchable ball.

I thought bringing on Wingham and Breslin were the right moves at the time. We were getting harassed and not able to get the ball forward, having Wingham dropping in Temple would have hoped would give us an easier out and pull Adl out of shape a bit.
