No idea how  R Tade stayed on the park. He showed no respect for the officials and hopefully he and the club are totally embarrassed by his behaviour. But no doubt some stupid NRFL club will pay him to show his "passion" in winter. Maybe ACFC should focus on the league and not some meaningless cup against some reserve teams

Signed for Wellington Olympic I thought.

Because it was so good you have to watch it twice!

These so called football commentators need a few pointers from a referee about interpretation of the laws.

Riera fouls the player (to touch the ball)   "Sir He Got The BALL" lol

Common misconception that one, just because you get the ball doesn't mean you didn't also foul the player.

"Accidentally kicking an opponent while tackling the ball is not a foul unless it was careless, reckless, or there was excessive force."

Hilarious the keeper goes down clutching his face with noone around him for Waitak's second goal.

I don't think that one was a foul to be honest - it's from the side and his studs are not really showing and there is ball involved - but I can see from the angle that Chris was on that it looked like a foul.

Tough game for him to control as both teams initially seemed to want to test his limits before it exploded and clearly Waitakere settled better.

I think that was in shame rather than injury...

I don't know, he got the ball, but he took a good chunk of the man first. Looked a foul to me, a bit of a soft 2nd yellow but don't think ACFC can complain too much.

Pretty much all commentators make the "he got the ball" claim when desperate to find controversy so they have something to talk about for 90 minutes (since for some reason they feel like they have to talk the entire time). I like to think De Jong would know better, but apparently not.

It's a bit rough to say he should know better when it's a pretty disputed incident.  That's footy though, game of differing views

Agree, definitely a foul. The yellow card might be slightly harsh, but given its not a clean tackle, you can definitely make a case for it being reckless and therefore a yellow.

Not the refs fault that he had to send Riera off once he deemed that to be a yellow card challenge, pretty silly to put in challenges like that when you're on a yellow.

I think you will find the 2nd yellow was for stopping a promising attack (not reckless).

I stand corrected! In that case, it's even more of a clear yellow card.

Meanwhile in the SSP, the rest of the country let out a collective fart noise as ACFC bring in other imports to make up for the ones sent off and go top of the table. Weakened? I think not... I really hope Wanderers sort their shark out and beat HBU otherwise this season would be a real let down.

Auckland City beat Eastern Suburbs 2-1 to win minor premiership for 4th season in a row, also qualify for next season's Oceania Champions League

If Team Wellington win their 2 remaining games (Tasman at home and Canterbury away) they will finish 2nd (and get a home semi final) against Waitakere United.

If Hawkes Bay United beat Hamilton Wanderers they will secure 4th spot and an away semi final against Auckland City and Eastern Suburbs will miss out. If HBU and Wanderers draw then I think HBU will still sneek into 4th as the head to head record is 1 each (HBU won 6-3, ES won 1-0) but GD in those games favours HBU

Final games of the round, with Team Wellington needing 1 point to take 2nd place and a home semi final against Waitakere United. If they lose to CU, then they will be playing Waitakere United in Auckland.

Eastern Suburbs will be hoping Hawkes Bay can't beat Hamilton Wanderers so they can keep fourth but if Hawkes Bay win or draw then they will go 4th and take on Auckland City.

For the spoon, Southern will be hoping they can win against Tasman in Nelson and then want Hawkes Bay to win so they can sneak off the bottom and hand the spoon to the Wanderers.

TV Game is Canterbury v Team Wellington Sunday 4.30pm Sky Sport 3

Top four: If Hawke's Bay win or draw on Sunday - Hawke's Bay. If they lose - Eastern Suburbs

Hosting semifinal: If Team Wellington win or draw on Sunday - Team Welly host Waitakere next Sunday. If they lose, vice versa

Wooden spoon: If Southern win and Wanderers lose, Wanderers. Any other combination, Southern
